Took the tour bus and was very pleased with the overall experience. Tour bus is reasonably priced, air conditioned, and comfortable seating. Had a 3 month old, 3 year old and a 7 year old. Very great experience for all. The walk through the rest of the park took about an hour and a half and that was with a few stops as it was hot. They have a misting station that really helps cool off. Seen many animals and enjoyed the day. Didn't go to the splash park this visit but have been there before and enjoyed it allot.
Visited for the first time and have to say it was an amazing experience. The animals roam freely in one area of the park and they all looked well nourished and maintained. You can drive in your own car or take a bus for $5. The other entrance of the park has souvenir shops, kid playground, food court and at certain times of the day you can learn about animals and the conservation efforts being done to save and help endangered species, and there is a free boat ride that takes you along man made islands with animals. Pretty neat experience. Overall it was good experience, although I did find the cages for the birds pretty small and being called "African Lion Safari" some of the animals in the park are not part of the Safari . On the other hand, I do appreciate the conservation aspect. Would I come back? No, but I do recommend experiencing it at least one time and making your own opinion of it.
For the animal lover or those with children this is a great place to spend time. The safari aspect is nice as you can tour the facilities at your own space and explore whatever animals your family finds most interesting. The african animals are the stars of the show. There is also a boat ride that gives you some limited views of various primates and a train where you may or may not see elephants. In addition there are extensive bird exhibits and 3 different shows. The parrot show is in my opinion the best with the others which were of limited interest. In addition there is a splash area open seasonally where children can go on watersides and partake in other activities.
Beautiful experience. Firstly, I recommend purchasing tickets online prior to arrival, as they are CAD37.5 CAD5 cheaper compared to CAD42.5 per person when purchased in-person at the gate. After purchasing the ticket, there is an option to either travel in your own car or take the shuttle bus with a tour guide. We traveled in our own car, and stopped at all the attraction points for however long we wanted to. There were multiple animals of the same kind compared to maybe one/two in a zoo. It makes me so happy to see all animals roaming freely in something that replicates their habitat. Lions, cheetahs, elephants, bison, deer, bison, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, baboons are a few of the animals in the safari. There are two bird shows after the safari which were amazing. There is a train ride and a boat ride included in the ticket price. There is a splash pad and water slides area which is open until the first week of September. Also on-site are two big playgrounds for kids to play. There are atleast 10 different food options to choose from inside the safari. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Love it. Took my 3 yr old grandson. The water park is awesome. Unfortunately, he couldn't go in as he just had surgery. We didn't see any of the shows either. We got there when it opened. I think if we got the splash pad in & and shows, you would either be very rushed to do it all in one day or limit the time in the splash pad. There's a very reasonable family chicken dinner you can order under $20, I think it was. The animals look happy and well cared for they have a short train ride you can take and a pontoon boat ride. Not long, but a nice break. I recommend this place. It is open until 5pm.
Went there with my kids. Took our own car to the safari drive. Definitely worth every penny. Prepare to spend atleast 2 hours in the lions enclosure because of long lines. After that you can cover the whole park on 2 hours easily. Train and boat rides are free and a must take.
Great experience! We took our vehicle through the Safari, and it took about 1 hour to drive through, as you have to be careful and obviously want to take your time. After the tour, we attended the animal shows, which were very amazing creatures. I appreciate African Lion Safari for their commitment to maintaining and helping animals that are at high risk of extinction. Great plan for families with kids : Buy tickets in advance to save money
Perfect for the family. We went on a good day, not to hot. The animals were lovely and we were lucky enough to see them during feeding time. Worth every penny, our toddler loved playing on the equipment and the food was pretty good and prices were reasonable.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
It was an amazing experience seeing all animal around you with no barriers! You must try! Staff are so friendly, easy to navigate inside. Just follow the arrows and signs. Windows must be closed at all times while driving around animals. Their water park is amazing. They have a good variety of food over there and the prices are good.Visited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedYes
Hidden Gem for Animal Lovers! This place was a fantastic surprise! I was initially worried it might be geared more towards younger children, but that wasn't the case at all. I got to see a variety of incredible animals, including lions, white lions, zebras, kangaroos, and many more. The bird shows were a definite highlight – don't miss them if you have the chance! The trainers were impressive, and the birds were fascinating to watch. A fun part of the visit was the train ride. It took us past a large enclosure where we spotted turtles, different bird species, and even elephants! We spent around 2 hours driving through the park and another 2 hours exploring the market area. A tip for future visitors: try to arrive early in the morning. By 10 am, many of the animals were already seeking shade from the heat. And buy tickets online that will save some bucks This place exceeded my expectations and offered something for everyone. I highly recommend it for a fun and educational day out!
