Obtained a quote for quite a bit of work around the home; - Paving was carried out to my ask and was satisfactory. - Drainage in rear garden (this was some what thrown in with no attempt to level run off levels and only half supplied per quote and when queried was met with some disgruntlement but was deducted from total quote which was fair). - Roof cleaned, was jet washed but no ground sheets were put down so garden was a mess, we had to clean up after a rush attempt at end of job clean up, Additionally was not cleaned to what i would call a professional finish, moss still present over the roof. roof was not sealed even though it was in the agreement, was a costing issue not on my part. Half way through the job a member of staff just left!! which caused delays. Gutters NOT cleared and have now given up chasing (3 months after the job finished) for this to be done. this will now cost me extra expense to get someone to complete. - Monoblock cleaned, again was jet washed and took several attempts to get get to a satisfactory cleaning level, perhaps investment in a new machine would assist, however it was not fully clean to my expectations and had to spend several hours cleaning it myself before sealing. The machine vibrated so much that it damaged a couple of the blocks, luckily I had some spares which were replaced but should not have happened in the first place. Overall not a great experience, job over ran, quality not to my expectation (based on past contractors used), I spent a day finishing up and cleaning up . Gave S Matthews a go based on the 'Matthews' backgrounds and recommendations but unfortunately this time did not come up to expectation and for that I would not recommend.
