Brought my brother to the Emergency Dept in the Mater for potentially life saving treatment. Triage nurse helpful A1 level. All staff very pleasant, very professional and very helpful. He was seen and sent home the next morning in the knowledge that everything was done right. Worth waiting to be seen and the triage nurse also made sure that he was seen in accordance with the injuries which he had. She was really brilliant. All round a brilliant team, a brilliant place - professional, pleasant, helpful, competent and confidence-inspiring.

Superb service. Was seen and treated including an X ray all within 30 minutes and looked after excellently by Serena. Huge praise to the staff and this hospital. Thank goodness for the NHS.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff in the a&e department of the Mater, especially the reception staff. They are the most patient and helpful people. Even under extreme pressure as they were yesterday with the department being full to bursting they were extremely kind in providing tea coffee sandwiches and biscuits for those of us who had a long wait to be seen. Thank you to you all Pat Ransome

Excellent medical staff who are doing their utmost best, despite lack of enough staff including the Mental Health Teams.

Had an bad accident at work, and was triaged, treated and discharged within 45 minutes during a busy period, Nurse Fiona who treated me was extremely kind caring and professional.
