Great to have Matalan so close to all of the bus routes into the center of town. There is a large variety of men's women's children's clothing and homeware at a decent price. There is click and collect in this store. There are disabled and normal toilet in store. Disabled access is fine through out the store but in some parts is a bit tight I was knocking stuff over because I'm in a wheelchair. Highly recommended a visit.
Got some sweatshirts here. Good quality and affordable. If you don't like Primark, you may hop on to Matalan
I bought some items but there are no changing rooms, which I understand and when I got home I discovered that I had put an item through twice as it is self service. When I went back to the store there were 3 or 4 staff with their backs to me putting returns on a rail behind the counter. They totally ignored me standing at the customer service desk and chatted away to each other. I tried unsuccessfully to get their attention. Eventually the supervisor? Olga came over and she was very apologetic for the response of the assistants. She couldn't have been more helpful and I got a refund no problem. Shame she had to apologise for her very rude staff giving poor customer service. Don't know why it has to be self-service only?
2 self service tills that no-one can use, one staffed tills with a queue of 12 people while 4 members of staff watch on. Why not just have staffed tills instead of staff standing watching? This is the 3rd time it's been like this. ‍
Good range of men's clothing but quite often short of more popular sizes especially in trousers.
Matalan is reopened in Berryden. As always with great quality and assortment and very tasty prices. There are a big sale now.
I went into the store today and got a dress that l was after and l was happy with that. The only problem l had to use the self service and l didn't get any help from a assistant. When l got home and noticed a tag on the dress and no alarm when l left or when l went into another shop. Why do some of the items got tags and others haven't. I will have to go back next week to get it removed .
Great store, looked deceiving small from outside.
The store itself is dilapidated, uninviting and in need of a serious clean. They had a very poor selection of stock in store when I visited. The only redeeming factor was the free parking and the click & collect facility
Am only giving your shop one star because i can't give none. Got followed around the shop from a member of staff the minute I walking in the door. Once at the till, paying for items. I was asked if i payed for certain items and asked for my receipt even though her eyes never left me. Thanks for making my visit uncomfortable. Great customer service!
