Based on the high review score, we thought we'd get a great fish and chips experience here. First, the good: the venue is clean and feels rather authentic. Service is great and friendly. Prices are moderate and the portion sizes are huge. We ordered the "master's special". Unfortunately, the chips and fish both were massively lacking salt. The crust on the fish was also too greasy and not light. This sat in our stomach quite heavily. The most peas could also be slightly better (perhaps a touch of mint?). There also was no alcohol free beer. Not a big issue, but easily fixable. This was OK, but no where close to the current rating.

Brilliant chips'n'fish. Chips are one of the best I ever had. It also has grilled fish selection - not only deep-fried. Takeaway will cost you £6 but you can stay in too as the place is licensed. I had very good skate wing with chips for less than 10. Traditional crispy batter

Great restaurant to get a classic fish and chips. One of the best spots around. Good prices and a cool place to get food. Definitely recommend. Easy take out spot as well.

As soon as you enter there is a counter to order takeaway food, go though the door on your right for entry to cafe area. I was sat by the waitress but you can sit yourself. It's an old looking cafe, mismatched tiles on the floor & money from all over the world on the walls. Seems clean enough. The menu is decent price for London but outside the capital would be a little steep for what you get. I was also personally unimpressed with the meal, I don't know how it stands up to other London chippies but I personally would not return, this is my personal opinion however & the staff were friendly plus it's seems popular so why not give it a go

Worth a visit if you like fish and chips at a reasonable price in London. Food is freshly cooked with good sized portions. You can have a basic salad if you want something a bit healthier. A small range of bottled beers and wine. Wine especially is good value. Can be busy but groups of less than four should find seating without a problem. Easy walking distance of Waterloo station.
