Nice little pub with a pleasant atmosphere/vibe. The standard selection of beers on tap 2x Staropramen for £10.50 in London is a pretty good price. Didn't try the food though having seen it served to other tables, looked good. Would recommend as a stop if you're in the area!
We had our team’s Christmas dinner there. A lot of options for everyone: veggies and meat eaters alike. Despite it being really busy and loud with football on and Christmas dinners we still enjoyed our meal. Happy they were able to accommodate our team of 30! I can definitely recommend for the large group bookings.
My girlfriend and I popped in here late on a Friday night after coming into London for a long layover. I knew we had to try something authentic while in town and this place had tons of reviews and many of them were great. It was about a 9 minute walk from our hotel and we were fortunate to get seated right away because this place was packed. The service was a tad bit slow, but for how busy it was we had no complaints. I went with an authentic dish featuring potatoes and some type of pot pie STEAK, SHIN & PALE ALE PIE and the vegetables weren’t great, but the rest of the meal was super good. It checked the box for traditional and left me pretty full. If you want a popping place with authentic food then this is a really good option!
Amazing pub right across from our AirBnb in London! We went several times during our visit and while all of the staff was incredible, Emmie went above and beyond each time. Beer was excellent, wine was fantastic and the best fish and chips I’ve ever had- they were also very conscious of my crustacean allergy. We will be back on our next visit!
too loud, way way way too loud to enjoy dinner or even a drink. it was mid week 7:30pm, we had booked and were seated to a nice corner table. still, we had to shout to be able to talk to one another. food was ok/average, service was hit and miss depending on who you approached.
Lovely little pub. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Must be popular as really busy. We booked for a sunday lunch around 5. They had ran out of most things on the menu by then so dont leave it too late in thr day to eat there. Food was beautiful though. Worth a visit for a sunday dinner.
We've had two lovely lunches here over the holiday period when most places were closed We needed a cosy place for my other half to escape the Hospital Ward and to catch up with our dear dog. Wheelchair dog friendly warm & cosy great freshly cooked food good beer only for me Doom Bar friendly and relaxed service Thanks to the team.
Stick to drinks and fish and chips at a push… the pub has a nice atmosphere but the food was a let down. Been a few times and the food seems to always be pretty sub par. My food came late after everyone else on my table. My meat was undercooked, thought I was being over dramatic and unfortunately didn’t realise till I got to the end and used my flashlight because it was very dimly lit - and they said “sometimes it can look like it’s undercooked due to the seasoning”. Was sick when I got home… rest of the table were not particularly impressed with their food either, hence the two stars.
Spending 1 night in London before setting off on eurostar, pub booked on spec and very pleased with it. Very good food and arrived very quickly. Sessions Neck Oil was very pleasing.
Mwah - I feel a bit queasy. Cheeseburger - mediocre Mac n cheese - nothing to write home about No Halloumi chips available Rosemary Parmesan fries - negligible parmesan, no taste of rosemary - soggy Definitely not worth the money It's busy, service is indifferent The roasts are good - should have had one of those
