A small store with lots of products, from shoes to food and everything you'd expect from a marks & sparks. Food Hall is tiny but so well stocked!! It's well situated in the Orchards Shopping area with parking very close, although not free.
A poorly managed store. There are excessive queuing times on Friday and Saturday, with a very high degree of predictability. Week in, week out. Management must have the memory of fish as this has been the case since I started shopping here in 2007. If an assisted i.e., manned till is installed, either have it open or just use the square footage to add extra self-service, this is retail not rocket science. Went in today for 3 items, all out of stock Rye bread, sardines in olive oil and cottage cheese. However, all the ready meals with excessive salt and sugar levels and of the ultra-processed variety are on offer in abundance. Suggest the management team visit an Aldi branch to see how it's done! Would honestly shop there more if I COULD, the stocking is just abominable. It was better in the 1980s, when staff walked around the shelves with a clipboard to re-order items. AI, state of the art logistics, computerised supply chains - it's all bunkum!
I have been a M &S customer for many years with complete satisfaction, but having just moved to the Uckfield area I have been using the Haywards Heath department. This is a very nice store but the miserable and unhelpful staff are sadly lacking in customer service skills. In future I shall travel to Horsham, where there's a friendly welcoming atmosphere
The haywards heath store must employ the most miserable staff available.nEvery visit makes me feel like I wish I'd gone out if area , yet I want to keep this store open as its my nearest .nI will in future shop elsewhere
The starter of pork/pate with chutney was delicious.nnThe main of chicken in breadcrumbs topped with a tasty tomato base was also delicious, not forgetting the triple fried chips. It was absolutely amazing.nnThe cheese dessert was a little disappointing. I chose this because it was French cheese, but the taste of the cheeses were fairly neutral in my opinion. Overall lovely meal
