The toyman on newark market is not worth going to unless you want to be ripped off. Blatantly admitted to charging 80% more on top of what he buys them for. Few people went up to him and asked why he targets disabled people with learning disabilities as a carer confronted him about one of his clients after taking great amounts of money from him while it was obvious he had a learning disability. I was shocked at his response when he just said its cost of living. Disgusting.
More stalls need to be in use on market day. Suggest council reduce rents to entice more traders to attend. Not a bit like what it was when we moved here in the early 90's.
I have attached Newark Royal Market Place
Cheap tacky market with the odd coffee shop and local food vans. Very expensive to park, and very over zealous traffic wardens.
Its clearly had it'd day, its such a shame. Long gone are the days wen u had to queue for a store they can't even quarter fill it never mind half!!!
Terrible , you can be disabled , you can have a parking badge. The warden's still issue tickets at every possible chance
Its a shame the market is not as nice as it was years ago when i was young. Nice fresh veg stalls. Bread stall.
Not that great plus traffic wardens are every were and way over the top to give out tickets as if they are handing out sweets !!!
Nice area and good markets with a great variety of fresh fruit and vegetables
Love Newark, such a lovely place, lots of quirky shops and cafe
