OK, to be clear, I'm reviewing Keighley not just the market hall. We didn't get there, no dogs! Unfortunately the town is so dismal, it doesn't have its own listing and rides on the waves of all the other, well, really, err, wonderful places in the town. What a dump! Not even a Costa, just several supermarkets and lots of run down charity shops. Luckily we managed a circuit without incidents with the local druggies and down and outs before escaping to much more desirable areas in generally lovely W Yorkshire. Sad, sad town. Only nice place pictured, the war memorial. Shame the gardener growled, yes really, at us as we passed!
Gone downhill over the years. Just cheap tack now. Where have all the proper stalls gone with food, kitchenware and general shopping at other markets you can more or less do your weekly shop buy certainly not at Keighley market
Still some good stalls but a few empty ones now as well but good butchers, cafes and various other stalls as well that offer a range of products
I've used the Keighley market since the 60s when it was a traditional outdoor market. The current indoor version is warmer and tidier but, lately, has a higher turnover of businesses than I'm used to.
The stalls that are left are very good. Cafes are good, shoe unit good dressmaking units good. Repair service for clothes excellent. Clothes ok. Handbag stall good.
Few empty stalls but was impressed with the ones there. Lovely breakfast and several other purchases made.
Used to love a visit here. I live in Brighouse and over the years I had visited here on and off. I visited recently for first time in maybe 5 years I felt it had gone right down hill. The choice of cafes still as good as ever in here .
Brilliant little place to get good quality stuff from small local people always friendly and will try there best to help you get what you need weather it be a sack of dog food or party adams cafe for jacket potatoes is the best in town and grate price lovely cup of tea worth a visit for defo
