If I could give this shambles of a company 0 stars then I would. I decided to use mark Simmonds planning services for planning permission over my fishery in Cambridgeshire. The only positive I can give them was the application was adequate in my personal opinion. Unfortunately the application didn't pass for certain reasons. This company are very quick in wanting your money but once they been paid they pretty much don't want to know you afterwards. I dealt with Angela most of the time, if I needed to speak to her in regards to my application she wouldn't answer, nor would she even be bothered to call back and most of the time she would ignore me. This was going on for months and months. I was constantly having to chase them in getting an update in regards to my application or having to chase them to get on to the council. She was so unprofessional and in the end I had to speak to mark. In July this year mark had told me I will hear by the end of the week. I also have a voice record on my phone to prove this It's October now and I still not heard nothing. I then had to find out myself online that the applications case was closed. Neither did Angela or mark even bother to tell me, all they have done is ignore pretty much though the whole entire process. I assume they knew it didn't pass and they were just avoiding me, that's how it feels anyway. I am now in the process of speaking to a barrister in London and using another company to try and appeal and get this overturned. However, I wouldn't trust Angela or mark Simmonds planning services in getting me planning permission for a shed let alone anything else. Wouldn't use or recommend this company to anyone.
We are a small group who wanted to build a War Memorial at the site where a Lancaster bomber crashed right at the end of world war 2 killing the eight men on board. We were not far along the road when the Council made it clear that Planning Permission is needed to place a rock in the countryside. An initial look and the forms and process' involved made it look like a Herculean task. We put out an appeal to raise funds and recruit services and I'm pleased to say that Mark and Angela from Mark Simmonds Planning Services saw our messages and stepped forward to offer their support to the Project. They took on the complete planning application on our behalf and steered the whole thing through to completion. It may have been an every day task for them but having had sight of the application when it was submitted, I was struck by the depth of knowledge and understanding of all of the issues that need to be addressed if the application is to be successful. We were deeply grateful for their support and have no hesitation in recommending their services to others.
I have been using Marks Simmonds Planning Services company for several years now, and he has always succeeded in obtaining the relevant planning required. Mark and his team are very professional and easy to work with . I would highly recommend Mark and his team to anyone ,and have done on many occasions. MS planning services came highly recommended to us, and we were very pleased with the whole process. Solid professional guidance throughout and Mark and Dawn were on hand throughout to answer any queries. Mark’s broad experience places you in good hands and would not hesitate to recommend him to any one considering seeking any type of planning application. Ours went through first time – testament to team’s attention to detail. I will be returning for our next project. The volume of successful applications locally with Mark’s name attached to them in North Lincs is a record that speaks for itself.
I couldn’t disagree more with the singular negative review of MSPS. I found Mark Simmonds to be professional, thorough and accessible throughout. Likewise Angela was sharp and very punctual, engaging and liaising with the Planning Officer throughout. Mark was recommended to me by my local solicitor who has been our family solicitor and friend for over 40 years. He had seen Mark’s work professionally and held him in high esteem. Mark managed my expectations from the get-go and I knew permission was not a given as I was making a retrospective application. I agreed a fee with Mark at our first meeting and he did not pressure me for payment. Professional fees are always subjective as how do you put a value on knowledge and experience? All I can say is I thought the fee was reasonable and in hindsight the application was clearly robust and detailed as the planners accepted our presentation without fault. Ask yourself this: given all the 5 star reviews, is one singular negative review consistent/reliable? Personally I can’t recommend Mark & Angela enough and I WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN CONTENT WITH THEIR WORK HAD WE FAILED. Mark is calm, careful and methodical. Whilst these may not be the characteristics you look for in a F1 driver, they are absolutely what you need when navigating the murky and often impenetrable waters of the planning process and legislation! I commend him and Angela wholeheartedly.
I highly recommend Mark Simmonds planning services. Mark managed to help us to gain planning for a large dwelling on a farm yard site. The planning gives us permission to demolish a farm shed and build a new house. This was an impossibly difficult task which Mark was able to achieve. He was efficient in completing the necessary paper work and was easy to talk to and discuss our project.
We used Mark Simmonds Planning Services in 2022 to convert two agricultural buildings into dwellings under a Class Q application. Angela is very knowledgeable in this field and our application was successful. We would definitely recommend their services - they are very professional and just on the end of the phone if you have any queries. We will be forever grateful for all their help - without them we wouldn't be where we are today - thank you Mark and Angela.
We found Mark Simmonds on line, i spoke to him and asked if he would come and see myself and wife which he did and Angela his wife came also and from the moment we met and explained are problem which was to stop a development which would surround are house on Three sides, not only that we live on a street which has 17 houses only and to build 14 more was not only a big concern to us but we had the backing of all the neighbours. Mark and Angela spoke with us and said they would take us on. They put the best case together and got us the result we were after i can only say a first class Company and First class people which i can recommend to any person or company which have any planning issues which require sorting
I turned to Mark Simmonds Planning Services after a lot of positive feedback to help me obtain planning permission for a new dwelling. The plot location, house size and local heritage could have caused issues, resulting in a planning application refusal. However, the professionalism, due-diligence and preparation Mark and his team carried out, allowed this planning application to be supported by the general public and local councillors. As a result of this, we were granted full planning permission by the planning authority. Without the guidance, continued support and industry knowledge from Mark, this application would have been refused. I have continued to use this company since and would have full confidence in recommending Mark and his team.
In May 2021 we contacted Mark Simmonds Planning Services as we needed to submit plans for change of use of land, siting of stables and an agricultural barn to be on one application and not straight forward. Mark and Angela came to see us and took on the task of sorting everything out from scratch for us. We found them very professional, approachable and kept us informed of progress regularly. Due to our application receiving an objection by the Parish Council it had to go to the Planning Committee which did take some time but we knew this could happen but the outcome was positive and we, through the help of Dawn from Mark's office who oversaw our application, were granted full planning. This was granted December, 2021. We had certain conditions which Dawn has been helping with to ensure that we meet all the requirements. We have been very satisfied with the work done and would certainly use Mark Simmonds Planning Services in the future if needed.
