After reading good reviews here we thought we would try this place , felt a little unloved , and very dated not in a good way either . Food was ok £12 for a medium haddock and chips eating in restaurant,well cooked and didn’t have to wait too long . Service was good , sadly toilets let this place , tatty and felt unclean , mouldy ceiling .
Marinos is our go-to fish & chip restaurant during our regular stays in Bexhill. The food is always absolutely excellent and huge in quantity and the service is always lovely and cheerful. BUT…! Today we were not allowed a glass of tap water with our meal. We had to buy a very expensive £1.80 small bottle of water instead. Now we prefer tap water to bottled and I can’t remember the last time we were refused tap water in any restaurant of any kind; it must have been at least 20 years ago! So that is a big minus in my review. So thank you again Marinos for fantastic fish and chips, but a big no-no and minus one star for the water.

We arrived at opening time so managed to dine in. Good menu choice with great service. Our meals were fresh and plentiful in a friendly and welcoming setting. Would highly recommend trying here but will get busy. Kid-friendliness: Kid meal options available.
The zenith of Fish and Chips! So happy to have discovered Marinos- it is the PLAICE to visit if you can get to Bexhill. We've all had great fish and chips in our time, but seriously these are different class. I love Marinos.
Best fish n chips in Bexhill and post covid you can once more dine in. Good tea in a pot and everything. Decore is basic but keot vlean. Its the food that makes this place great.Food: 4/5
I appreciate food is cooked to order , but very long wait and appeared to be dealing with the take out orders very quickly. We ate in. Was expecting much better quality food after reading reviews, My fish had very greasy batter on it and the chips were alright, nothing great . Very expensive for what we had . Also think the toilets need sorting, very smelly not nice .
Phone the order through so no waiting on collection. Food was all nice, one large portion of chips was enough for us all!
Had fish and chips, very hot, well cooked and large portions. Normally use Minnie Berthas when we visit Bexhill from Chester, but very disappointed with our meal on Sunday evening after 6 hour drive. Generally not very hot, dislike cold/ cool food, after we picked it up so will be looking for alternative when next visit
Very good chip shop doing brisk business for takeaway and at the tables. The actual chips were particularly good.
