I took my son to Margate Police Station on Friday 30th October. He loves anything to do with the emergency services and I must say how fantastic the officers we met were. They went out of there way to show him different equipment and spoke to him about different aspects of police work. I must say a huge thankyou to you all you have made his year.
Twice recently needed assistance it wasn't an emergency so dialled 111 although it was a matter that needed dealing with promptly to catch the perpetrators. It took on both occasions over 45 mins for the station to pick up the phone their end. However they this time when they haven't in the past steped up to the plate and I have been happy so far with their service.
Reasonable accommodation for free ! neighbours not so good . Comfy cells tea and toast for breakfast . A bit formal though. I wouldnt recomende it for families not as good as premier Inn but it's the price that you pay . Which is an irony really !?
Unfriendly staff, especially one unpleasant officer who thought it amusing to bully an old man taking photos.

Not that this will go anywhere but I need to vent. 3 am in the morning, bf called 45 mins ago about guys loitering, getting loud and drunk in my apartment building’s communal hallway. So far, no one has showed up. 4 of the guys have left, the 5th is passed out drunk, has wet himself and his snores sound like a chainsaw. It stinks of alcohol and cigarettes in the hallway. Absolutely fuming.
Tried to ring Margate Police using advertised number, absolutely hopeless, No answer then just got message saying please Hold. Waited 15 mins the gave up. This is how Kent Police improve there crime rates, they won’t let you report a crime.
Very poor understanding of the law from PC 13360 and Sargent 12242, archaic policing from a bygon era. You can no longer misconstrue the law for your own personal agenda.
