Happened to stumble across this little gallery by accident, walking into what turned out to be a new exhibition. Greeted by a nice glass of wine by some super friendly staff and picked up some lovely prints we are excited to frame. Great experience!

This gallery has much to offer in the attractive Marchmont area. There is an extensive array of paintings and prints from local artists. Read their website for bios on all artists coming through their doors. The gallery also offers an extensive picture framing service, pottery, delightful and unusual cards as well as locally-made jewellery.  They also provide exhibitions, which you can always check on their website. While you’re there, consider signing up to their newsletter.  They really have thought of most things to offer someone a gift with a difference.  Original art and handmade crafts. What’s not to love.

Great bespoke framing service - Jamie and the guys will frame anything from your artwork and photos to cake decorations! Also a hot-spot for anyone looking to purchase original art and unique crafts produced by the local makers.

A great little gallery with lots of locally sourced arts and crafts at a range of prices. I often find unusual and quirky gift ideas there when I am in Edinburgh and regularly use their consistently high standard framing service. The staff are very nice too :

I regularly visit Marchmont Gallery to either buy gifts or use their framing services and I have always had a very positive experience. Their framing knowledge and variety of options is exceptional and extremely reasonable. Their selection of stock, mostly by local Scottish makers is beautiful and I always find something suitable for family, friends, but mostly myself! I always recommend Marchmont Gallery to anyone looking looking for a decent framer, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Visited this shop recently to use their framing services. I was keen to use this local service, however I was very disappointed by the customer service which I received. I was in fact gobsmacked by how rude the shop assistant was to me. I wish I had just left the shop there and then.  I have had pictures framed in the past there with good finishes, however on one occasion they framed the picture upside down and it had to be redone. I do think they offer nice framing but it is costly and takes some time. Ultimately I won't recommend or visit this shop again any time soon as I was so disappointed to be treated so rudely.
