After buying a Google Home speaker I was waiting for a voucher for £10 for spending £80. None of the staff could not confirm why the voucher didn't print. I was told that I'd have to wait for the manager (that was stood just five feet away) She was aware that we were waiting but she just carried on talking to someone about SKY in full knowledge we were waiting. The other staff had gone back to other duties so after ten minutes I had to call someone over the to give me a refund as we needed to leave. The manager didn't care, no "Sorry about your wait." just said she was with a customer. One that didn't buy anything. I didn't know Maplin's sold SKY or SKY Internet because that was the whole conversation. Even when she had finished there was no acknowledgement that we were there, no eye contact or anything, just going to the till to try print a voucher even after we had said we wanted a refund because we needed to leave. I can't fault the other staff they tried their best and were apologetic and actually looked embarrassed because of the manager's (Charlotte's) attitude. 

Three stars because the staff were great but it was the manager that let the team down.

Incompetent staff. No wonder they've gone bust

Prices too high compared with branded competitors. Constantly watched and hassled by staff. Intimidating arrival with all staff staring. Not a nice place to shop if you like being left alone.

Useful shop if you are in the market for electrical stuff. Well stocked. Very helpful staff.  Free parking but it can get busy.
