Wonderful experience! Great location, with a nice 15-20min walk to the reservoir with some really beautiful views. Just off the A68 so good, easy access. The room was clean, had everything you need, a beautiful view and nice selection of free teas, coffees and biscuits. Pub and food were great. Really enjoyed the breakfasts every morning and the Sunday roasts. Well priced compared to other local pubs. Even though they were packed on their Sunday we didn't have to wait too long. Chef makes a great strong coffee - definitely recommend! Desserts were delicious too. Staff were magnificent, very friendly and helpful. Wish them all the best! Would definitely return here~
We really enjoyed our stay here. The Manor House Inn is situated in a stunning setting with a beautiful view from the outdoor seating area and from our room . Our room was comfortable and clean with a kettle and tea/coffee/hot chocolate/bottled water and biscuits available. Bathroom a good size with a bath with shower over it. We ate here on the evening and breakfast in the morning the food was really good, restaurant quality with a good variety of choice. The couple who run the Inn were great and really friendly . Would definitely recommend.
Can't recommend highly enough. Lovely room and bathroom with fantastic view. Brilliant evening meal delivered to us chef Jim, followed by a fabulous full English from David this morning. Natasha, David, Jeanette and the team couldn't do any more for us.
Popped in on a tuesday lunchtime. Jeanette the friendly and efficient barmaid took our orders. She has a great manor and has a skill for front of house We had the toasted sandwich and ordinary sandwich. My word the presentation was delightful and the chips, the chips we wonderful Good pocket friendly prices too Thoroughly recommended.
I had two lovely meals over the GNR weekend. What made it special for me was the customer service. The house front people are welcoming and helpful. But, was the extra mile was I booked a meal after the run and I was so much slower than I thought I would be. They packed it up and kept it warm for hours after they closed. Thanks it meant a lot. Fantastic service.
Went for Sunday lunch First course was prawn cocktail so tasty. Then had pork roast, absolutely beautiful. The staff were again friendly and very helpful.Service: 5/5

This is my 3rd-time for food..the whole experience is awesome. The meals are excellent value for money and if you are there for lunch omit your breakfast!! Recommend the steak and yesterday the fish & chips. 5 Food & drinks: 5 presentation quality and choice.
What an amazing place. Perfect for a stay in the hills on a main access route. The food there is something else. Large portions of very flavoursome traditional favourites with a unique twist. The Cumberland bangers with horseradish mash are fantastic. Open log fire for the cold days and a very freindly family atmosphere. The room we had if you stay over was beautifully done with comfy bed and onsuite. Views were over the moors to the Derwent reservoir, stunning.
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish .staff were so lovely and friendly nothing was a bother to them . Starters , Sunday Lunch and desert's were amazing tasted lovely and value for money thank you so much for making us feel welcome we will definitely be backService: 5/5
