Fantastic and flavourful vegetarian fare. A small but well curated menu offering a range of items to suit all appetites and budgets. Service is friendly and fast with items like the thali being near-instant. The chilli paneer wrap and vada pav are favourites but the rest of the menu is great too. A good range of alcoholic beverages and the lassi is really pleasant. There are lot of good places to eat in the market but this is up there with the best of them. As it's in the market seating can be limited at peak times and it can be quite chilly but that applies to all vendors in there and not just Manjits. Vegetarian options: It's a 100% vegetarian place capable of satisfying many a sceptical meat enthusiast. Parking: A large NCP multistorey next door, not the cheapest but very convenient. Wheelchair accessibility: Access entirely level from all directions.
Really enjoyed my lunch at Manjit’s Kitchen! The menu is entirely vegetarian which, as a pescatarian, I was really pleased to see. I got the Chilli Paneer Wrap and it was delicious. Worth the £7 and I felt there was a good amount of paneer in there - sometimes when I’ve been elsewhere it feels like they’re trying to use as little as possible and bulk out with salad instead, but certainly not here. The service was also very fast, no queue and I was able to find a seat easily, but I was here on a weekday when things are a little quieter. Definitely want to come back and try some of the other dishes. The menu isn’t huge, but everything sounded fab. They have a selection of drinks both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. Vegetarian options: Everything here is vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, there were other children around. Wheelchair accessibility: No steps required to access.
Double Dosa weekend started here with a tasty lunch. Accompanied by a bargain samosa, it was delicious and our first visit to the giant Kirkgqte Market in Leeds. Will be back for the Thali next time!Food: 5/5
Hadn't been to the food area in the market before but had heard good things! It's a nice airy area with several vendors! I chose the thali at Manjits which was 2 curries, rice, dosa and onion bhaji. The bhaji and dahl was nice but the vegetable curry lacked a bit of flavour.Food: 4/5
Manjits Kitchen offers a great, tasty, good value vegetarian lunch. It is in the city Covered Market, food court area. The seating is at tables in the food court part of the market, it's not fancy but the food is excellent and there is plenty of scope for people watching.Food: 5/5
I stumbled upon this Indian restaurant with a friend after university, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and arrived promptly. The curry of the day was a delightful addition, making the experience even more enjoyable. Would recommend!Food: 4/5
Inside Leeds Market kitchen area, nice to see it busy. Food ready after about 10-15 minutes wait and was tasty. Lots of butter used in the Vada Pav which may or may not be to your taste. Not quite the authentic taste as you will get in Mumbai but nice nonetheless. Masala dosa was yummy but the sambar served was more of a daal which was ok. Mango lassi was perfect accompaniment to the meal. Would definitely go again to try some of the other tempting menu items.
Extremely good value for money for the thali, which included a good portion of two fresh and authentic curries of the day. The masala chai was perfectly spiced, albeit a little too sweet for my personal taste. I can't wait to come back to try one of the wraps, even though I might have to get the thali again as well... Vegetarian options: Fully vegetarian menu.
Always a pleasure to have lunch here. The Thali is the signature dish.Food: 5/5
Come here after watching a review on rate my takeaway by Danny. All i can say is WOW. The food was fantastic the spice was perfect and just an explosion of flavour in your mouth. You have to try this if your visiting Leeds! I will be back again. We had a pakora and a chilli panner wrap and shared a bhaji between us.
