If i could give 6 stars I would. Service here is beyong amazing, you really are looked after, staff are excellent. Food is just as good, prices have gone up as they have everywhere, but portions are generous. Tasty quality food. With starters, drinks, mains and sides, your bill will be approximately 50 to 60 pounds for two. Paid parking available close by.
Authentic South Indian cuisine and classic Indian food for curry lovers. Stylishly lit dining room with mezzanine for a wide South Indian. Yet again Akbars didn't fail to work it's magic and produced an outstanding meal... I can honestly say that the lamb chops are the best I've ever had, the curry's are consistently amazing, made with quality ingredients and cooked to perfection.
Been going here for years and years but the last couple of times we went we had the worst food and customer service. Ordered some curry and which was too salty. Mentioned it a couple of times and the guy serving us was not at all bothered and didn't even offer to replace. Despite curry being leftover untouched we realised we were still charged for the curry too. Never going back and shame to see Akbars customer service at this rate. As the quality of food is very poorly
Enjoyed my visit, staff were very good food was on point although the lamb Biryani did not taste like Biriyani but was good. Nice ambience, fresh, clean and a great experience.
Great tasting food for a great price. The naan bread was insane and it is worth going to just for that. I don’t think I could eat any other naan bread again it was that good. I played my options safe and got the restaurants recommend “their best chicken dish”. However it was a little too safe. Still tasted good. I had a bit of buttery chicken and that was incredible. Great price for food and quality. Would recommend anyone to go!
The only Food which was Average was Chicken tikka handi , lamb Chops & Family Naan Chicken tikka balti and Akbar's special handi was extremely bland even after requested that to make it spicy. Lamb kabab's was so stinky me and my friends couldn't eat it also when you go to celebrate your birthday every restaurant small business too bring small cake and candle but Akbar's are least bothered even after informing them it was my birthday no interest sorry but I will recommend Akbar's to anyone in future a big NO for special occasions . It was my first time with Akbar's I would say My lahore is alot better then them .
Went with a large party and the restaurant was very accommodating. Food came out fast, was delicious and reasonably priced. They also do two Chef challenges, one being a spice challenge and the other a small "man versus food" which is actually excellent value even if you don't finish it. The pittas could be used as duvets they were that big!
Food is OK but hygiene is absolutely shocking. And take a look at the quality of the salad. I suspect it’s constantly reused.
Probably up there with the worst Indian I’ve had, chicken korma was rank and watery. Not to mention the amount of oil. The rice was bland and tasteless, again, really oily. Staff are not very attentive I had to ask 3 times for water whilst everyone else had their alcoholic drinks. Much better smaller chains in Leeds, don’t bother with this one.
