Fantastic service and food from start to finish. This two and a half hour experience went so fast. Lovely ambience and decor. Every minute was enjoyable and must be a visit if you are in Weymouth. We will definitely be visiting again next year. No complaints whatsoever. Probably be looking around the £100 mark for two persons and a three course. Well done Mallams!
When you think of fish restaurants in English seaside towns you usually imagine batter and chips being involved. I'm sure they would do you some chips at Mallams, but maybe focus on the rest of the menu first. Our group had a variety of fish dishes and a couple tired the lamb. No-one was disappointed. In fact it was exceptional. Should also mention that the staff have an excellent knowledge of their wine and spirits, and gave us a couple great recommendations for pairing with the food. Mallams is a great little spot which is well worth a visit.
As 'walk-ins' on a Saturday evening albeit early we were doubtful of getting a table. Staff were very accommodating and 'snuck' us in wife and I. Service was exemplary - drinks list had a very good selection with a wide selection of local treats. Starter menu was varied - I opted for pigeon - fantastic. Main course we opted for chicken stuffed with black pudding and Cornish hake - delightful. It was nice to have just enough room for sweet - 'posh' bread and butter pudding and a very suave trifleish pudding. Well worth the dosh - worked out less than we both thought. Huge congratulations and thanks to all the staff.. ta...
Having read superb reviews Mallams did not disappoint, the tone was set from the start with the delightfully engaging manner in which my reservation was taken over the phone. Beautifully cooked fish, extremely more-ish home baked Courgette & Fennel Bread & we loved the eclectic choices section on the wine list. My only sadness was in not getting to sample the INCREDIBLE looking puddings, we will have to return!
Went there by chance on our anniversary 4 years ago as most restaurants were fully booked and they just happened to have a space. The staff made it very special for us and gave us outstanding service and beautiful food. We are having a family holiday next week celebrating our anniversary again and will be defiantly stopping in.
Dear Google Users, Please be wary of this business. We were recently booked to clean the kitchen equipment in this restaurant, however, upon arrival the business owner was no where to be found and we could not access the property. We waited at the property for over 1 hour. This kitchen remains dirty and uncleaned at this point, would not recommend eating in this establishment as it does not comply with certified standards. We hope this feedback helps those looking to visit this restaurant.
In Weymouth on holiday in late June 2014. Booked a table at Mallams and enjoyed excellent food and wine. One of the best meals I have eaten. Very highly recommended.
Within doubt one of the better restaurants in the town. Dynastic ownership, long established and successful. Attention to detail with both food and wine, superbly presented. A clean and tidy establishment.
We stumbled across this awesome harbourside restaurant last night.Wonderful, friendly, passionate about food and drink hosts. We enjoyed brilliantl food from an inspired menu. Alsoterrific drinks menu, so in tune with the food on offer. Thanks CJ and Lauren for a great and fun evening. Cheers
Had a fabulous Saturday Lunch last weekend at Mallam's recently opening at lunchtimes now at weekends. Superb food and wine. I would thoroughly recommend visiting at lunchtime as they do a lighter menu.
