An unexpected delight! We had not planned to eat at The Ship but changed our mind at the last minute. Expectations were not high; we were so delighted with the food, well done The Ship! On a super busy bank holiday weekend, the staff were outstanding, the food was delicious the presentation wasn’t brilliant but this was forgiven as the flavour was amazing and the location can’t be beaten! Well worth a visit, would strongly suggest you book!
Book in advance on a very sunny weekend. Was very quite indoors as people where enjoying the sun but we were a table of 9. Quick service, cool interior, friendlyish waiter, good menu and good food. Absolutely amazing location and plenty of seating!! Would absolutely recommend and go back!
We booked a table at The Ship Inn today after missing out yesterday when it was packed for the bank holiday weekend. The place itself looks great — interesting décor and a perfect spot right in the middle of the harbour. There’s a good choice of beers and ciders, although unfortunately two had already run out by the time we ordered.nnWhen it came to food, we were looking forward to it after reading the reviews, but the experience was a bit hit and miss. The adult meals arrived after about 20 minutes, but the kids’ meals and a couple of sides were forgotten until we asked at the bar. The food was okay, but the portions were on the small side and looked even smaller on oversized plates. I still felt hungry after my mushroom burger, and the kids weren’t keen on the veggie sausages in their bangers and mash.nnIt’s a shame, as we were excited to try it, but hopefully next time we’re in Weymouth it’ll be a better experience.
Came in with 12 people as part of a dive visit. The people were lovely and the beer selection was superb. It was all badger beers but the choices were excellent. Was looked after by Laura and she was excellent. Good recommendations and advice. When I am back I'll be revisiting!
Lovely place, food tasted great, service was good, even though it was proper busy.
