Magestic Wines always feels upon first visit that you've stepped into some random, poorly set up warehouse of wine. But then you realise they are all like that and it's a brand theme. Cute little tasting sinks and wine on ice to try out. The staff were friendly and helpful as soon as we came in. In the past I have found them to be very helpful in selecting a wine for a specific person on a specific budget. The vast array of wines, spirits and sparkling wines/Champagne is enough to satisfy most peoples need. Each drink is organised into World locations plus marked with details of deals, cost, flavours, mini reviews.
We had a pre-wedding wine tasting which was excellent. The guy had studied our menu and picked some fantastic wines to match our food choices.
Very friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable staff, and as good a selection of wine and beers as the size of the premises permits.
Excellent customer service, staff have a good knowledge of the wines and know what they're talking about. You can see there is a vast selection of wines from a large amount of countries. Good prices and deals on offer as well if you are buying in bulk. If you want to buy a quality wine for a any occasion I would come here.
A wide selection of wines, beers and spirits, including well-known brands and interesting exclusives at a variety of prices and helpful, knowledgeable staff. We went to try a selection for a summer wedding and were given some good suggestions based on preferences uncovered in the tasting.
I've been here 4 or 5 times now and the staff on every occasion have been truly incredible. They let you try the wines and beers, which opens your eyes up to other bottles you can enjoy. The selection is such that you're always going to find something you like.
Went for a wine tasting here, lots of wines available so taste and good staff knowledge. Had a couple of spirits to try as well, which was a nice extra. Store had a great selection on wine with some of my favourite and at good prices. Excellent selection of local and craft beers.
Love going to the wine tastings. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to find out about wines you otherwise would never have known about. Try before you buy. Fun, too!
I’ve always loved Majestic but it has really gone down hill recently. Friends elsewhere using other branches have said the same. I can only imagine it’s to do with the Naked Wines takeover. The staff are either unhelpful or useless. I will no longer be shopping there. A real shame. I’ve since been back since my original post. Things are much better. I was served by Scott and his colleague who were both very friendly & helpful. September 2020
