The light inside the library is rather white. It serves a purpose, the students are kept awake and can work longer hours.nnUnfortunately, we are polluting the natural world with the light trespass. But we could protect nature by lowering the existing blind? This simple action, that many of us already carry out every day, will help reduce light pollution and the impact it has on nature.

The main library of the Univ of Edinburgh, a big building with different layout and study spaces for various study needs. You have book shelves, desks with computers, quiet study space, and group study space. During end of term, it can be very crowded and you can't get any space, which means better you find other alternative libraries such as your school libraries like the Moray House library school of education and sports.

25/08/2025 - Approximately 11AMnnReceptionist bald older man was very rude. We asked about collecting a reference card and the receptionist laughed and said something like 'did you think you can come here without an appointment'.nnAbaolutely no right to speak to someone like that.

Nice and wonderful library to study, read and work.

The views are breathtaking. It is the best place for personal growth and development.
