Came here for afternoon tea with a friend who was visiting from Bristol, on Saturday the 22nd of June. The food and tea were delicious and our server was very sweet and attentive I believe her name started with S, she was Indian/Pakistani maybe. The only thing which ruined a bit the general feel of the place was the attire of the hostess, the first person who greeted us- she was wearing a crop top with casual- looking trousers, which didn't look professional in the least.
One of our favourite haunts in Birmingham City Centre. Excellent selection of wines and expertly curated spirits. The atmosphere is complimented by the attentive, smartly dressed staff and generally upmarket clientele.
Walked past and decided to go in and try their cocktail. Ordered an off the menu rum old fashioned. The bar man was experienced and drinks were nicely made. The service staff were also very attentive and regularly kept the water topped up for us. We sat at the bar, which was comfortable and it’s always nice to be able to see the mixologists at work. As an impromptu visit, it was a nice experience.
If you’re looking for the best quality afternoon and best service in the Midlands, then this is the place to go. We took a friend for his 60th birthday present and from start to finish the staff were helpful and attentive, especially our waitress. She advised us about all the options on the menu and arranged with the chef for changes to cater for a couple of us with specific dietary requirements. This seemed no trouble despite us not letting them know in advance. A lovely room place with a luxurious feel. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion. Dietary restrictions: They catered well for our requests for no cheese and for no seeds, giving extras of other options, changing breads etc
Absolutely loved this place. Stunning interior and beautiful ambiance. I almost forgot I was in Birmingham! The service was excellent and of high standard, and overall, I had a great evening here with friends.Food: 4/5
Delicious pastries, terrible sandwiches. Sandwiches were dry as a bone. Turkey in the sandwiches was sliced, packet turkey. Cheese sandwiches were Tesco’s quality. In fact that is a disservice to Tescos. Incredibly expensive. Only one waitress to serve a very large room of people - bless her, she did as best she could, being rushed off her feet. Service almost non existent unless you got up and asked for something. Lovely decor inside - nice Christmas feel. However I came home disappointed. Really not worth it at all.
Madeleine is my go-to and favourite playground bar in Birmingham. Their new cocktails are even better than before, which is a testament to the bar's commitment to excellence. The skilled bartenders craft each drink with care and precision, ensuring that each sip is a delight to the taste buds. If you like rich, indulgent and creamy cocktails, I highly recommend their Crème Brûlée and Beurre Noir. Alternatively, ask for a White Russian. It’s not on the menu.
Booked here on a Saturday night, sumptuous bar, very friendly staff, reasonable priced drinks. A really lovely vibe with all kinds of people which I love! Would definitely come back again, it was so relaxed. Thank you Team for looking after us
We were nicely greeted at the door by the team who even knew our name as we booked, a nice touch who quickly seated us in the fabulous bar and took our order. We asked manager Matt about the fantastic King Louis Old Fashioned see my pic cocktail. Liam the bartender created this beauty, and was kind enough to talk us through his inspiration. Great vibe here, chilled tunes, even though its a Thursday it is busy with a friendly feel. Highly recommended for classy cocktails in a chilled and stylish space with fantastic decor. As with any place, its the team that make it. Everyone was on top form. Well done Madeleine Bar, will certainly come again.
