About

Do You Maddox?

Story

Maddox Club has been a constant fixture in the Mayfair nightclub scene having won a range of Best Club Awards for over seven years. The Club opened its doors in 2007 by renowned Club owner, Fred Moss, who adds this Private Members Club to a long list of successful nightspots over the last 15 years including Iceni, Chinawhite, Aura and Mo*vida.

Set in the heart of London’s Mayfair, Maddox Club plays on the true meaning of its name by appealing to those who appreciate the finer things in life and those who know where the best parties are to be found.

To paint a picture without giving too much away... Maddox Club boasts an impressive cocktail and bottle menu which compliments the slick and opulent interior. The Restaurant on the upper level offers a tantalising three course menu designed with Italian and Mediterranean flavours as inspiration.

Walking down the stairs under the glass encased DJ booth enters into the lower ground floor, featuring the Main Room which is home to Resident and big named DJ’s, serving premium bottle service only. One element Maddox Club is renowned for is The Courtyard; a rarity in the London nightlife scene. The presence of this area is appreciated all year round and especially during the summer months.

Maddox Club features a new bespoke, theatre quality sound system and LED lighting. Remaining open until 3am, Maddox Club is always ready for debauchery and decadence.

Entry is by membership only and membership application is by referral.

The worst experience in a club ever. The bouncers were incredibly rude and disrespectful and clearly did not know what was going on. We were under the impression that we were on the guest list according to a promoter, only to find out this so called promoter had not been there at all. The bouncers let us in regardless before we were aware of the promoter not being there which led us to pay for entry only to leave within the first half an hour of being there due to the unorganized staff and uncomfortable atmosphere.
Bad doesn't even describe this “club”. Once we got there we were moved around 4 different times, no one was being clear and we were getting mixed messages. We were told that our promoter was inside and he would come out to get us however he never did but they let us in anyways. The bouncers were very rude. We payed £20 to get in and when we got in we asked around to see where the promoter was however no one knew. Awkwardly sitting upstairs without our table, we decided to leave as it seemed at this point we were being lied to. On our way out we asked the bouncers if he was actually inside and they told us he was on holiday. They rudely asked us to get out. Even if the promoter was there, the club was not good anyways. Don't waste your time or money.
I had a situation here that really unacceptable. I live in London for about a month, and I went here for the first time. My friend took a cigarette and started to smoke inside. I thought, that in this place we can smoke, because there was NO SIGNS, how would I know. I took his cigarette for a moment, the guard saw me, came across very close, and started to be really aggressive, complaining that I cannot smoke here. I said I didn’t know because you have no signs. Then he called the other guards, 5 people were standing in front of me, they took my arms really strong, and started to walk me out, I screamed that they are hurting me, but they didn’t stop, they walked me outside and threatened me. I have a brush now on my arm, and I cannot believing that 5 people was taking out 21 years old girl, instead of giving me some time to understand everything and manage this situation in normal way. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE.
Very rude staff, bouncers are the worst I have seen in any club. SCAMMERS, be aware! Our bottle service guy demanded us to pay 500.- ontop of our bill including service charge which had already been part of the bill. At first he tried playing it off as if we hadnt paid the full part, but as we all showed our payment receipts he changes up the story, telling us how bad customers we are for not giving him a tip!?!
Classic London club that has been opened for decades and you know what to expect. Very friendly staff at the bar. Better come before 12 to get in. Be properly dressed up.
It's the place to be and to be seen, especially if that's what's counts to you. Don't expect to be treated like royalty, that's part of the game: no matter how important you think you are, you're in their court so play by their rules! Prepare for a night of luxury extravaganza, and A LOT of drunk people
From the moment my friend and I arrived at the door, we had to be 'checked out' to see if we were good-looking enough to get in, we then get in and order some champagne and cocktails, and an hour into the evening 1 drink started to cost £40! Because of the strikes, it was basically the last resort to stay there and try to have a good time. The managers of the club were also very odd and uncomfortable, at 1 point I was been given free double vodkas from the bartender when I asked for water, the whole experience was really strange and uncomfortable and just because it's a club in the heart of London it doesn't mean it was good. I would never recommend this place under no circumstances, I wish my friend and I stayed in and got a takeaway because Maddox is a very strange place with an off vibe.NEVER AGAIN
We were a group of 6 people all white and one person of colour. As we made our way in the bouncer let everyone in and then pulled the velvet rope blocking the one person of colour who works in fashion and was extremely well dressed. This sort of racist behaviour is unacceptable in 2022. When the other white people told the bouncer he was with us the bouncer let them in. How ridiculous and disgusting! Don't spend your money on racist establishments.
The club is good but we were quiet disappointed that we paid £20 entry and we left for some food and came back an hour later and unfortunately they did not let us back in!
Waited in line for 40 minutes, in the meantime the bouncers were letting in 2-4 people at a time infront of us because they were influencers/friends with the manager/etc. Suddenly at about 11pm the bouncers closed the entrance while pushing us to go out on the street. When asked why they were doing this they would occasionally shout 'not my decision, move out of the line!' while avoiding eye contact. They didn't seem to have much control over the situation at all.
