Fairly cheap, they don't have a great selection of items, there is a lack of staff and the staff seem uneducated on where things are in the store.

Nicely located store for the town centre, but not without its flaws. It seems to take pride in constantly rearranging its layout, meaning most lunch times the store is full of people tutting and walking in circles as they try and find things that were easy to find before. Since the carrier bag charge was introduced, staff also appear to be trained to be as unhelpful as possible (If you ask for a bag) by placing all your items on top of the bag rather than in it, or at least next to it. This then requires you to waste your time moving every item off the bag so you can actually use it for packing. Sounds petty but when you use the store a lot, which I do, it starts to become very annoying. Earlier in the year I would have rated it much higher but its gone down hill rapidly.

Bought a Champion Seeds and Grain loaf from here. When I came to make sandwiches for a picnic there was a huge ball of uncooked dough in the middle so had to rush to co-op to get some bread. Rang up M&S to complain, the sent me a £2.00 gift card! Hardly covers my petrol money let alone the time I wasted. They clearly don't know the meaning of customer service.

All I expect from M&S food hall. Plenty of options for a quick lunch or a snack with M&S quality.
