I am finding Food from M and S tasteless……. Is it the salt problem?nOn Sunday I bought a chicken ham and leak pie. Cut it in 2 there was 1/2 inch of filling in the bottom of a 2 inch pie! The pie didn’t taste of leeks or ham and the chicken wasn’t much taste as well. why are people with cars queuing up to get in my St Anne’s on Sea store?? waiting on the yellow to get a parking space and causing havoc with the traffic? I don’t know how they got planning permission. Back handers I suppose.nThere are other things like the chicken yorkshire pudding…tastelessnVeg in a bag even putting salt on they only taste of salt.nTrouble is I cook and I feel sorry for the people that pay the price for this stuff.nI’ve moved to the area and I use it for convenience but it will be bread and sweet things from now on.
It's not just any food, it's M&S food. If you know you know.nnIf you've never had the almond croissants from the bakery, oh my god. The problem with M&S is nothing else is good enough anymore once you've eaten their offerings.nnThe only knock is the wine is a little marked up but literally all the food is a step up in quality and flavours from anywhere else around. Makes Booths and Waitrose look like Home Bargains.
Loved it in here. A well stocked store with pretty much everything. They offer trolleys so you can do a weekly shop. Bakery, flowers, click and collect etc.
Very expensive but the food is ok. I have noticed that the Chinese takeaway meal is getting smaller. Items we usually buy are not as big as they used to be so costing more.
Not one single gluten free Colin the Caterpillar cake in the shop. After all the fanfare of how M and S were responding to public demand by producing it. Plenty of room on the shelf for 8 normal Colins. The GF choice in St Annes is getting smaller and smaller. I'm not impressed.
