WOW... I left my engagement ring with them to adjust the size, clean it and make it look new again. They were half the price of the other jewellers I went to and did the work in 2 days. The other shop wanted 2 weeks! Thank you so much Tom, for doing this so quickly and also to the sales assistant who obviously cottoned on that I was nervous about leaving it.

Shocking! Purcahsed a ring at auction and my partner took it directly to mg Welch to be resized, stone reset and and an insurance valuation done. My partner was advised of a quote and a 2-3 week turnaround due to the ring needing to be sent away for the work to be completed. She agreed to the price and confirmed for them to go ahead with the work. The ring was meant to be sent out the following Monday for the work to be completed. 2 weeks later we receive a missed call from the jewellers, tried to call back but the number was busy. Assuming the call was to let us know that the ring was ready to collect, my partner went to visit them. Upon arriving the lady in the shop asked for her slip and went off to retrieve the ring, as she returned it was very clear that no work had been undertaken, and she was only contacted to be given a “quote”. Two weeks of holding the ring for absolutely no reason, a complete waste of our time! My partner is now left upset, annoyed and now having to find another jeweller that can actually guarantee to do the job properly

Excellent range of antique and modern jewellery, this is the best selection of jewellery you'll find in Taunton or any of the towns around. I am very pleased with the antique diamond earrings I bought. Very polite helpful and competent staff.
