Horrified to be charged £8 for a plastic sieve worth about a pound. Unfortunately needed one urgently otherwise would never have paid that much. Blatant rip off, will avoid like the plague in future!
Fantastic local store! *LOCALS* - SHOP HERE!! Let's keep MCT on the High Street, we don't need another shop selling soap and candles. *DAYTRIPPERS* - SHOP HERE!! They're so friendly, have everything you need, even a nice teapot you can give to someone and tell them all about your trip to the seaside.
This is a small electrical retailer in Aldeburgh, if you don't know the place it is mostly second homes and holiday lets near the town centre where this shop is and most of the shops in the town cater for tourism, so this shop is almost unique. I have shopped here many times over the last few years. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They know their stock extremely well, always ask if you don't find what you want immediately. Their prices of necessity reflect their location but I don't see how that can be avoided. I can thoroughly recommend them.
Excellent hardware shop. MCT is one of the last remaining 'traditional' shops on Aldeburgh High Street. I have a holiday cottage which I let, and Mick and his team are always helpful and almost always have what's needed for me to carry out small repairs. Don't be mislead by the small size of the shop!
When our washing machine suddenly expired MCT were able to supply and fit a replacement within a couple of days. Extremely efficient and pleasant service. Would definitely use again and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend.
10 out ot 10! I am SO IMPRESSED by this shop! Due to lack of skill, when cleaning my electric oven, I removed the door as per the instructions. But when getting it back on, the spring snapped back before I could get it in. I took it to Jewsons where I had bought it. They advised going to MCT. So drove across to Aldeburgh. The young man at the counter fixed the problem with the correct pliers - in 1 minute - and then - this is the really impressive bit, he showed me on an oven in the shop exactly how these catches work. He demonstrated how to replace the door and explained how to do it in terms that a lay person could easily understand. Thank you. Very satisfied customer.
