Very nice pub and very busy. It is a little off the beaten track but worth the visit.nWe had a Sunday roast dinner, which was nice, but as we caught it as it was coming to a close, the food was probably not at it's best. This would certainly not stop me returning, as I am sure it has a lot more in the way of food to offer.nSummer's must be a delight here as the beer garden looks lovely.nParking is a bit of a problem, as it has limited spaces.
Friendly staff, and a warm atmosphere. The food was very tasty, and very nicely cooked. Starter, main and pudding, all delicious.nnUPDATE: another lovely time at Lysander Arms. Very accommodating, friendly and pleasant staff, and once again delicious food it's worth a visit for the onion rings alone!. The setting was also lovely at this time of year Christmas.nnAnd again. Consistently good. This time it was a carvery and every part of the meal was full of flavour and cooked just right. Very impressed. And good value too.
Had a fantastic 2 night stay on the caravan site. The pitches were perfect, with everything needed.nDustbin,waste water,chemical toilet waste, hook up, aerial for tv, good wnifi reception, fresh water all on the personal pitch. Toilet and shower block well maintained. The pub itself also excellent. Beautiful meals and good choice of beers. 5 min walk to supermarkets, 10 min walk to a beautiful lake. Our dog loved it. The whole experience was super. Thankyou to all the staff and well done.
Great Little Find and TOURING facilities on site. Great BAR/RESTAURANT, SPORTS TV,DOG FRIENDLY. Everything you need and so close to York, with Park and Ride in walking distance. We will definitely be coming back to stay . What a hidden gem nTIP:- Call the Lysander Arms for Touring Bookings
A pleasant restaurant with good food. Not a huge menu which works well. The bar is nice and friendly with plenty of room. Staff were very polite .
