Lynn's is a great takeaway in our village. Our food has always been fresh and piping hot. We have it delivered sometimes and have always been treated in a friendly manner. One lady that delivers to us always gives our little lad a pound coin. How nice is that!? It is our go to for Fish and chips and Chinese.
Needs a lot of improvements... They just don't seem to care. They are the only Chinese in the village so they must think its OK to let standards get lower. Their 1 star!! Food rating on health on hygiene out of 5! From April 22 tells you all you need to know! Their is enough staff there to keep the areas cleaned and food labelled correctly!
Not very welcoming. None of them knew how to smile. Rubbish food both times. Also had a bad stomach after the second time. They also don't do fish so why is it called Lynn's fish and chip shop??
Typical service. Nothing above and beyond. Food is slightly below average for the cost. Nothing glaringly bad or off putting. Just a general sense of 'meh'. Do not recommend unless you really fancy a standard English style Chinese, even then, do not expect the world. I have it on good authority that most of the food is microwaved.
Lynns have been my go to Chinese for the past 5 years. I have never ever had a bad meal and always found it well priced and prompt on delivery. What more can you ask for!
Very impressed with the satay fish dish you made especially for me tonight. Odd request I know! Really good quality chunks of fish and it was absolutely delicious! I often have a hard time finding vege or fish dishes I like so it is much appreciated. Thank you

Ordered a small delivery of just four dishes at 7:07pm and was advised it may take up to an hour. At 8:20pm no sign of delivery. Two phone calls later, despite reassurances by Lynns that my meal is on its way, at 8:45pm still no sign. Another call and Lynns assured me again that the meal was due imminently. She had spoken with the driver twice, apparently, who had got lost really? It's a very small village and we live less than a mile from the takeaway and, because of the delay, she had told the driver that upon delivery the food will be free of charge. Finally, at 8:55pm, nearly two hours after order, the driver turned up and handed me a bag of food. When I asked him to confirm that Lynns had told him the meal was now charge-free due to the excessive delay, he became aggressive and tried to snatch the bag away from me. Classy. This is the standard of delivery driver used by Lynns. He then decided he couldn't deal with me, stomped off back to the car and ordered his partner, who was driving, to speak to me instead. She apologised profusely but insisted she'd had no contact from the takeaway and was, therefore, unaware the meal was delayed or deemed complimentary due to the lateness. I'm not remotely convinced to be honest - the meal delivered was stone cold so had clearly been in the vehicle for a very long time and then, to add insult to injury, when I went indoors and opened the bag of food, it was not even my order!! This was utterly appalling service. I had now finally lost my appetite for the food and honestly felt that yet another complaint to Lynns was futile. Thankfully I had not paid for this cold, congealed offering! I was the customer yet I was made to feel awkward and intimidated and, as it turned out, hungry on my own doorstep just by ordering a takeaway, due to the poor service of the catering establishment and the misjudged selection of the delivery staff employed to support it. Shan't be rushing to order another takeaway from Lynns, a dreadful experience.
1st time ordering from Lynn's, we had fish & chips and some Chinese food delivered and they were both pretty good. Price wasn't to bad for the amount of food we got.
Lovely fish and chips. The Moffat peas had to be mashed yourself but still lovely
