5star for service and food quality, however I sorely missed the old menu with all the whacky burger combo names, that was all part of the experience, now it's a much simplified build a burger affair much like anywhere else thus slightly losing its original USP for me....

Good American diner style food, a great selection of burger toppings and there is a range of different portion sizes.
Attended for breakfast at 11am finish serving breakfast at 12pm. Service was good, staff polite, helpful and humourous. However the Buddies USA ownership has changed, meaning the menus and food has changed. The sausages and bacon had significantly dropped in quality unfortunately. Other breakfast items such as Hash Browns/Scrambled Eggs/Black Pudding are still very good, and their pancakes and milkshakes have improved hugely. They now provide a "Build a Breakfast" service with free coffee refills which is great, and it allows you to only pay for what you want without making substitutions all the time. They are wheelchair friendly and generally keep a tidy and clean restaurant, so it is still a pleasant place to be. I would only suggest you ask for something other than the Premium Pork Sausages and Bacon for breakfast, as they were just poor to my taste. Great staff though and a nice atmosphere. I still recommend you visit, and give them feedback on the food so they can make the ownership change as smooth and successful as possible.
their all day breakfast is lovely, and they now have new smoothies on the menu the berry one is really good!!. I love the atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The food quality has gone down ever so slightly hence 4 stars but it is all round a very pleasant place to get a meal.
Obviously the kind of food you would expect at an American themed "diner"- burgers, pizzas. The menu has changed but my favourite fishcakes has been left off. Hence 3 stars. Good place for kids to eat too but now pricey. Recommended.
Food is always fantastic but I wasn't made aware of the children's offer which would have saved us quite a bit of money with having four kids with us, leaving us feeling that we paid over the odds having been told we ordered from the wrong menu!!!!. Make sure you state which menu you wish to order from and make it clear to your server as it's been twice now that they haven't been forthcoming. Otherwise it would be a 4 . To make it to 5 stars service needs to be sharper.
Won't be returning, shockingly bad quality food. Ordered buffalo wings for starter which we sent back as they were overcooked and dried out. One of the mains we ordered was surf n turf with a 12oz rump steak, to be cooked medium. When it arrived it was two what looked like thin cut sandwich steak pieces, cooked to the point where they were like old bits of leather. Returned it, the replacement was better but still two thin slices of poor quality steak. Could make a better meal at home for a fraction of the price. Ruined date night, never again.
Me and my friend came here for dinner as a last minute choice on a Friday night. We were seated to a table, and then I looked at the menus which were massive and it took me a while to decide. The waiter came over immediately and asked for our drinks when we hadn't even looked at the menu yet so I felt rushed and picked out the first thing that came to my head. Then literally a minute later he came back again and asked for our food orders so yet again I felt rushed so I quickly picked something off the menu. My friend ordered a veggie hot dog and another waiter came over to our table and asked if she wanted the veggie hot dog or normal...even when she specifically said veggie! Anyway, when my food eventually came I had chicken, curry prawns, chips and salad. And my first reaction to the curry prawns was . It looked gross! Didn't taste 100% either. And then when we went to pay apparently I caused major issues by paying with card and the guy didn't know how to work it. Oh well, it was a fun night with my friend just not so great food :
Absolutely shocking. Menu has changed now build your own burger. The chicken burger I had looked more like a hash brown and the bacon... I don't know what they did to it but was disgusting and even had it been nice would of been well over priced drinks expensive to. Safe to say I won't be going there again.
