It was busy at first, due to the time we went, that aside the 3 of us had a good time, the carvery was great the steak we asked for was medium rare it was cooked great, all the food was good,we even had 3 piece of red velvet cake, that we took home. It was a good way to celebrate my birthday The place was clean the staff friendly, they even found pigs in blankets without the blankets for 1 of my family who does not eat bacon. I would go there again to celebrate my birthday. Want to say thanks to the staff for making it stress free
Really nice pub. Had to go with my second choice, the carvery which was delicious, as my first choice wasn't in stock. Also half the desserts were not available, which was disappointing. There was a pensioner club in on the day we went, so it was really busy, but still found a table no problem. The atmosphere was really nice, because of the pensioners club, there was a music quiz and bingo and other such games going on, which you can't help but joining in... I would defo go again.
Very accommodating and excellent choice of meals... We had a large party booked for Sunday lunch and the seating just wasn't OK for us when we arrived... Staff did all they could to put us at a table that worked for us at one of their busiest times. Which meant we had a lovely afternoon with family x Thanks againwe will definitely be back... Also offered an excellent choice of food other than Sunday carvery... Food quick to arrive and enormous portions of cake!
We stopped in here for lunch and breakfast. The deserts are amazing!! Good food, with good sized portions. Pleasent staff . Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is on flat ground, out to the car park and in to the restaraunt, but there is 2 doors to get through before you get in or out..
Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Good coffee. Didn't have time for a hot breakfast but all the items in the buffet looked delicious and there were plenty of other customers who were eating. Plenty of room and choice of tables. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for meeting up, very close to the junction of the East Lancs. and the M6.
Even though they were short staffed notice informing customers of this at the till on entering and they were obviously very busy, the staff were still polite, attentive and cheerful. Food was lovely. I had the beer battered fish which was really really nice, the best I have eaten in a long time
Amazing food! Had a carvery near the end of the serving time. It was so fresh. Went back for breakfast the next day. Lovely! Over and beyond staff'- Ray x 2 and server of carvery Fri 7th Oct. Definitely recommend
We called in for the 1st time, both had the carvery which was very nice and well worth the money. Only down side about the visit was when we went to buy cake away, one of the cakes we were told they had none ready for take out..... a little disappointed as it would of only took a few minutes to cut a piece has it was in there...Food: 5/5
Normally love it here, I’m a regular visitor but this time not so much, this is my glass of Coke I orderd, 5 of these and all the same to be told it’s because we have no ice!! So you get just over half a glass of Coke although you pay for a full glass because yous have no ice!! Never heard anything like it. Won’t be coming back again very disappointed.
Its ok but they rush you out of your seat when they want the table back. In our case staff just came and took plates away that we weren't finished with yet which I thought was rude. They also can't handle the amount of customers that come in as it overwhelms them. Impossible to social distance, I wished they would limit themselves and would remove standing tables around the Carvery section, poor customers end up having random strangers who are queuing for drinks nearly sit on their lap whilst eating their own dinners. Staff can be condescending especially the management, one stood out dark hair with glasses. Food was alright though the Carvery menu was misleading in my opinion. They show 3 size plates but there is actually 4, the wording on the walls suggest a large plate gets you everything when in fact its the ultimate plate that does and I felt upselling was done unfairly. I got the thinnest slices of meat and I paid for the ultimate. Other than that the place seems ok
