A beautiful park with a rich history, offering the perfect place to relax or take a peaceful walk. At its heart lies a stunning lake, home to a variety of birds that delight and captivate visitors.
First time here on Saturday, nice place to walk the dogs. Good facilities and Play Park
As far as parks go Lurgan Park is among the United Kingdom's higher echelon. It really is rather special, certainly the best in Northern Ireland in my opinion and it's particularly well maintained too. Fantastic for families with young children, as aside from the picturesque setting, there is a children's playground. There's also a lake that is home to numerous wild birds including swans, geese and ducks. Squirrels can be spotted going about their business in and around the trees. Park is welcoming for those with dogs. Lovely place for a jog or just a leisurely walk. Easy to find as it's so close to Lurgan main Street.
Beautiful, well kept park. I go very early in the morning and the views are breathtaking.nEven though there are quite a few people and their pets about, it's so big that you feel as if you are on your ownnNo dog poo in sight which is a big relief.
It's a lovely park, but very popular and not a tranquil stroll. That said the Council and other groups make full use of the space for community activity. If you are looking a quiet walk with or without a pooch, early morning is best.
