Very nice little tea room and also a look back at history. If you are in the mid-Ulster area you need to stop by for a couple of hours.
Enjoyed a lovely breakfast.nI especially enjoyed my egg.nA must place to visit where you can have a tour around the magnificent house learning all about it's fascinating history, enjoy the beautiful grounds or just call in for a breakfast or afternoon tea.nWedding reception meal at Brownlow House/Castle. Well! What a venue!nFirst class is not high a high enough grade.nWe were given the blue room as it was a small party of 10.nI was just expecting a room with table and tablecloth.nWow what a surprise.nMet by a wedding planner who seen to us throughout and checked the shop time how we were doing nothing to much and extremely hospital. The room decor and table set aside for our wedding cake was so beautiful and this was at no cost to us as we only paid for our meal that was not only beautifully presented but quality and taste second to none.nHighly highly recommend for wedding venue or just a breakfast, lunch, or day out.nBeautiful gardengrounds to walk around, restraunt to eat or enjoy a tour learning the history of why it's also known as The Calendar House.nYou will not be disappointed.
Went to Brownlow for the afternoon tea with a group and the servers were lovely! Took a photo for us and the table was very well attended.nThe food was delicious, clearly very fresh and filling! Well worth the price and trip for the atmosphere as well, lovely fire in the room kept it perfect temperature.
Really interesting building, a calendar house. Museum wasn't open, but we had breakfast in the tea rooms which was very reasonably priced. Lurgan park is just across the road and is also worth a visit. Staff were very friendly.
A gem in the heart of Lurgan.nThe house contains a nice cafe and museums.nThe cafe's food is nice, the staff pleasant, the decor interesting and in the winter there is fire burning in the hearth. In my opinion the food is no more expensive than any cafe and the ambience is far nicer here.nThere is an interesting museum in the building's basement which details the history of US troops in Northern Ireland during World War Two. It is worth popping in and looking at the displays and exhibits if visiting the house.nThe building itself is very impressive and there is ample free car parking in the grounds.nDisabled access is also catered for and there is signage showing where the disabled parking etc is located.nThe grounds also contain a number of memorials to those who have lost their lives in conflict.nI would certainly recommend visiting here if you visit Lurgan.
