I come here most days for a look around. It is a lovely walk through Media City to get here. There are plenty of clothes shops with discounted clothes. M&S and NEXT are usually the busiest and you can get some bargains.nThere are other shops too, it’s best to have a look on google if you’re after something specific.nThe Lowry doesn’t get as busy as the nearby Trafford Centre and it’s a lot cheaper if you’re after clothes. You do have to pay for parking though.nThere is a food hall upstairs as well as some local craft shops. The food hall has plenty of seating and Tandoori Delights is my favourite. I’ll write about that in the future. There is also a new ‘Street Food’ area downstairs but again I’ll write about that another time.nThe Mall is wheelchair friendly, there is.Bus link and Tram if you don’t drive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Media City.
This place is a ghost town. Wish we hadn’t bothered visiting, as there’s hardly anything here worth visiting for anymore, and the parking is no longer free upon validation of a purchase receipt. Furthermore, customer services are useless! We put cash into one of the children’s rides near the car park pay machines, and the machine didn’t work. When I visited customer services, they already knew about it, and pretty much just shrugged it off like they were sick of hearing about it with a comment about “oh have you put money in it too”. They claimed they couldn’t do anything to help other than suggest I email the company that runs them. They wouldn’t entertain my suggestion of turning the machine off or putting a sign on it.nTo top it off, the overpriced car park was completely unlit when we exited to the car. Not very safe for families with young children.nnWon’t be visiting this place again until it’s been flattened and turned into something a bit more appealing.
A reasonably decent shopping centre, though it’s beginning to show its age, looking rather tired as more shops seem to have closed down. The Marks & Spencer outlet is still quite sizeable, which is a plus. There’s on-site parking available, along with free toilets and a food court, though I must admit, they all feel somewhat dated and a bit lacklustre. However, the cinema is quite well-maintained and there are still a few respectable places to grab a bite. I would recommend for a good deal
Great international food court, some nice shops but too many empty units.
We went to The Theatre partnVery nice place. Very modern. All staff at the door and throughout the Theatre were Fantastic.
