We enjoyed camping at Lower Milton Farm. The farmer Nick, is friendly and accommodating. You are allowed to make open fires and you can buy wood from Nick to make fires, or you can go into the nearby woods and grab wood for yourself. The price is low and based on per person, so it's 'singles' and 'couple' friendly. There are toilets within walking distance (and also portaloos scattered about), and a shower, as well as a sink to wash dishes. There are bins for recycling, and for general waste. Wells is a short drive away, or you can walk it in half an hour, where you can find pubs and food stores. There are some really lovely country walks and tons to see if you like walking. It's a really relaxed and rural no-fuss campsite. We'll definitely return and recommend it to anyone.

A very nice campsite, beautiful meadow in the hills. Very qiuet and lovely. Farmer Nick has a big heart and is very helpful. For example he explained us how to walk to Glastonbury, and much more.

we stayed here for two nights on a quiet weekend at the beginning of september. the campsite is in a beautiful setting on the edge of the mendip hills and the centre of Wells its only a 20--30 min walk away by foot path in our opinion, this is camping as it should be! -campfire included for a small fee- it has to be said that there are not too many mod-cons for those of us in tents but there plenty of portable toilets were scattered around the field, which was a good touch! :-) the facilities by the farm house were clean and well maintained. We are very much looking forward to going again.

stayed at this camp site was cheap enough but really needs a lot of work doing to it could be a lot better the grass badley needed cutting everytime you wanted to go out you neally got stuck most of the people that stayed there you could tell they were living there and you could tell they did not like new commers on the site we was at the bottem of the field and had to walk a way to get to any toilet and showers there was no waste water tanks any where so if you had to empty the loo or water you had to struggle up and down the uncut grass with heavy containers it was sort of a quiet field untill all the cows wanted feeding
