We stayed at the campsite.nVery generous pitch sizes and very well-kept site. We arrived early and the staff were very helpful and welcoming, found us a pitch as it was free but we were welcome to use the facilities if there wasn't one available at that time.nnAfter reading negative reviews on the campsite being out the way from everything else and the shower/cleaning block being filthy, I was concerned. The campsite itself didn't feel out of the way for ourselves. It is at the far end of the holiday park but well within a good distance to the main complex. The toilet and showers were cleaned twice a day, and there wasn't a spot of mould in sight, so the management had clearly acted in this. Sadly, I would say the cleaners aren't the problem. Daily people would not leave the showers in an appropriate state after using them. Sand and hair everywhere. The only thing I would request, that other sites have in operation, is to have a policy hung up requiring users to clean the shower after use, with a bucket filled with cleaner and mop, easily left in the block for guests to mop down their mess after use.nnThe site was full of families, our daughter loved making friends and felt very, very safe letting them scoot/ride around playing.nnOther amenities were fab, lovely bar and restaurant area, food was good, little arcade was nice, handy laundrette, little shop and entertainment was good.nnThe pool looked popular, but we were gifted with great weather, so we were out on the beach of exploring. Great location.nnCertainly return in the future.
Awful! Everything seemed fine upon arrival, we were very busy and out of the caravan the first 2 days but on the 3rd day we decided to have an evening in in our caravan....this is where we discovered mould all around the sofa area behind the cushions, we had a child with us mould in the main bedroom all along the base of the wall and under the dressing table, the spare pillow in the wardrobe was covered in mould spots and the spare quilt stank of urine we did report pillow and quilt and they were changed promptly, we also reported the mould and they did offer to send someone down to clean it but it was pointless as we were leaving the following morning. The drinks fridges in the club house were completely empty and very limited stock available....no kids drink available on the last night when they had a kids disco! Half of the arcade machines the ticket dispensers were not working in so had to keep reporting these to the staff in there. And to top it off we had paid an extra 140pound to move or holiday to a week later due to work commitments and we were downgraded from an extra wide caravan to a very small smelly and mouldy caravan, not very impressed at all.
Very friendly staff. Arrived early and caravan quickly assigned. Caravan was a good size and lovely and clean. Although it did smell a bit doggy. To be fair, we had booked a pet friendly one, but it smelt on arrival. No big deal. An enjoyable stay, shame they couldn't do anything about the weather.
The site overall was good. Our caravan was okay, but quite small. It wouldve been fine for 4 people but is advertised for 6. it is a dog friendly park but a lot of amenities onsite aren't dog friendly. A great location only a 20 minute walk from shanklin beach and lidl just next door to pick up some shopping. Overall a great holiday
Went as a member of 4 to a caravan in Osborne grove. My mum got this as an upgrade.nnI used to be a checker at Parkdean over at Hayling Island before it got taken over and if I was the checker for this caravan, the cleaner would of got called back and maintenance would of been called, for sure.nnProblems: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds had what looked like someone’s fist stamped into the door. In that same room, the curtain had what looked like red ketchup stains down the bottom of it.nnThe toilet with the shower had black mold on the blinds and the shower also had black mold in it along with lots of spiders + webs.nnThere were quite a fair amount of spiders, alive and dead with webs and babies around the caravan.nnIn the front room the curtain near the double glass doors had what looked like a big long red stain along it.nnThe table was wobbly and loose. I looked under it and it seems that the screws were not tight enough.nnAlso my young teenage sister caught her finger under a broken dinner table chair. Between the seating and the wood as she went to pull it in. Two of the chairs were like this and the other two were fine and fixed on there. Her finger swelled up and got very bruised and bloody. She stayed inside for a whole day of the trip while she recovered.nnThe oven when the top light came on showed a thick long web down to the stove. The back of the oven was filthy.nnSome of the kitchen drawers were also dirty and the trays were greasy.nnSome of the kitchen ware was rusty. Like spoons.nnWe arrived by train so did not drive. I saw how geared the park is for cars. The path to walk down at night is very dark but the road is lit up.nnThe caravan served its purpose as a place to sleep to explore the surrounding areas though. The cushions in the front room were comfortable but the single beds are not really geared for adults or more so taller adults. My feet were off the end of the bed and not much room width ways.nnTv worked fine but it was actually pretty annoying how I could not use my own mobile data in the park since the park preferred you to use its own family geared WiFi. My mobile data was very slow and low in bars.nnThe arcade section at the entertainment venue seemed to be alright. I liked seeing the mini VR section. Crane machines and different token producing arcade games were scattered around along with the good old 2p machines. And they have a mini token booth.nnNot much events on when we went. Mostly just bingo. Not many events geared towards teenagers. Though there was family wrestling on Sunday which a fair amount of boys seemed to be going to.nnThough the main hall with the stage was expansion and quite impressive for its size. There was also a bar there too with smiling staff.nnThe brand merch shop was filled up with lots of teddies but quite pricey. The staff that we interacted with all seemed friendly and helpful and I noticed that there were staff members helping people or having fun, across the different sectors.nnThe entertainment toilets were mostly dirty with some having broken locks not in use.nnThe location where we stayed, as in the area was nice though. With lots of green and really liked the hills and farms around that area. Was nice to open the window early in the morning and hear the birds or even watch them.nnThe chairs outside on the decking were good and was nice to sit outside sometimes.nnHeating worked well and was nice and warm.nnThe park is near Lidl’s and a co-op is also nearby too for food bits. So it quite close to food which is a plus.nnNote: there were lots of issues but also some positives too. But things definitely do need improving to get it up to scratch.nnFinal rating 2 and a half stars ~nnEdit: To parkdean reply - No, we did not report any issues. Did not know we could have gotten them fixed. We had no boiler issues or request for inventory. It was 39 Osborne Grove where we stayed.nnTy for reply though :
