Had brunch here, very chilled out atmosphere and the food was good. The service could be a bit better with staff being a bit more customer focused and friendly, rather than having unending conversations with each other.Food: 4/5
Seems to have a dozen different vibes to it, and I'd like to try their dinner with a resident chef, or their celebrated brunches. As a cafe, it was quite disappointing. Though tasting good, the latte was carelessly presented. The pastrami sandwich was two thick slices of bread full of pickles and sauerkraut, with a single thin slice of pastrami in it. Shameful. Server should be instructed to clean the tables every once in a while, if not right after people leave. All in all, not worth the prices.
Had an oat flat white and shared two of their vegan dishes, the avocado toast and a potato hash. The coffee was good but not overwhelmingly so, and the food was really tasty but the portions were kind of small. I thin that some protein rich and chewy would be a great addition to both dishes. I liked the relaxed atmosphere, it's really interesting to see places like these pop up on this area.
What a hidden gem! We visited on a busy Saturday night and enjoyed the vegan Nepalese food which was outstanding. Happy hour gave us 2-4-1 amazing cocktails, absolutely loved the rose one. But the best part was the service. Our waiter was friendly and funny and worked hard keeping all the tables happy.
Great breakfast, the “Seeded pesto, British tomato, mozzarella and spinach” vegetarian sandwich was delicious and filling — breakfast and lunch in one. Lovely service too. Was quiet around 8:30am on a Thursday morning in late August 2023, but got busy over the course of the morning. A nice place to relax with a coffee and a magazine, you won’t feel rushed or the odd one out if you just want to chill, and the cafe layout encourages both social interactions I met two lovely Dutch visitors here and privacy if that’s what you’re looking for. Overall a great place & real asset to the up-and-coming Walworth neighbourhood. Several other nice cafes and places to hang out, as well as a lovely park, just up or down the Walworth/ Camberwell Rd’s.
I thought Louie Louie was just a café selling cakes and coffee so I was gladly surprised when we discovered they are a Nepalese restaurant. The food was tasty and service friendly. I loved the flat bread with the spicy sauce with hemp seeds. The momos were nice but they were a bit bland.
Nice place to enjoy cafe, chilled view from the outside, and it would be just perfect in sunny day. I like the cafe with a bit sour taste of that bean. We had Latte and Flat White which are creamy and very enjoyable. Feel sorry that had to leave early due to the rain, but will definitely come again especially when sunshine pop up!!!
I’ve been to Louie Louie twice now for dinner and it’s doesn’t fail to impress. This time we had veganuary dishes. At first we were skeptical but still we enjoyed the food a lot. Friend was saying that he could turn vegan if the food’s like this everyday! The mogo chips is a must try. It’s so good we ordered extra! We had the meat dishes in December and we particularly loved the momos. Good job!
Working locally and in need of a coffee so I popped in and found myself being suduced by the cakes on display! The staff were polite if not a little short. You get the sense they didn't really want you in there. There was nothing said that made me think they were being funny with me, it was just a short sharp transaction. Oh and I'd say it's pricey too.. £15+ for 3 coffees and 3 cakes. I did like they decor though.
We've had a great time at Louie Louie. The cocktails are delicious and the food is also exquisite. Prices are reasonable. Overall the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Can recommend this place.
