As I struggle to eat the toughest dryest lemony chicken I’ve ever eaten in my 80 plus years I wonder what happened to the lovely Chinese food available in England 60 years ago!

Had a mushroom omelette and chips tonight and this is the worst one I have ever had. Chips were like cardboard, yesterdays cooked chips, beansprouts and no peas in omelette
It might seem expensive, but the portions are large and of a good quality. Friendly service and an easy way to book online. Parking: Parking in front of the building
The food was wrong BUT the staff quickly resolved the issue and deliver a replacement with in 20 min. I can’t thank them enough
Ordered our meal at 6:20 and were told we would have our food by 7:30. Eventually after two hours our food arrived after the lady on the phone said the delivery driver was late. After finally getting our food we sat down to eat and I instantly tasted something earthy I then spat out a chewed up prawn and a big lump of she'll. I then found two other prawns with the vein poo shoot still intact which should be removed before cooking. I then discovered two other pieces of shell. I then left the rest for the bin. I haven't contacted the restaurant directly yet but I will be tomorrow to express my disappointment and disgust.
Those chicken balls tho can't wait to order again!

The review in brackets below was from 2 years ago just before lock down. We have retried Lotus house at least 6 times since and every time we have been very happy with the service and the food. we now wont go anywhere else. They have really stepped up their game since early 2020 and with a delivery service now, it's excellent. Would really recommend the Crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce and they do the best prawn toast I've ever had. They also do a few mixed all in one tubs that are great value for money. Give them a try! ... Not sure I'll be going back. Was way to fast coming out. And looked and tasted reheated, gave my partner a bad stomach after just eating quarter of it. Wasn't greasy though. And needed soy sauce.
The only place I go for Chinese. Piping hot & absolutely gorgeous food. Best in town
