Ive been in newbury for 5 years and after trying lots of different chinese, we always end up back to lotus garden.  They are generally really fast and prices are good. Food is good. Never had any issues

Delivery was quick but you could tell the chicken was frozen and not defrosted properly as it was gloopy and just tasted like water which mixed with the curry then also making it taste completely bland. Absolutely disgusting.

Definitely the best Chinese in Newbury! I won't order from anywhere else! Prices are great, food is incredible and delivery is super quick. The staff are so kind, I always get a Chinese calendar at New Year!

Ordered some curry and chicken chowmein  for take away as usual. We regularly order from this take away, but was disgusted this time as the currys was hurriedly prepared. They got the vegetables and chicken and dumped curry sauce on top, it was not even mixed properly. You could see the chicken on its own.  Very disappointed, the chowmein was okay but the curry was a waste of money.  Made me feel like not visiting the take away.

Very poor. Soft tasteless prawns. Egg fried rice a brown gelatinous lump. Spare ribs OK but barbecue sauce has an odd chemical taste and jelly like texture. Service quick and efficient. Wont' be going back.

We ordered and made a collection. Perfect!! unfortunately the Chips were missing  with the order when I arrived home so  I made the call to the takeaway Chinese and they were delivered to the house  very quickly with an apology so no issues at all. My kids really enjoyed it too so good job all round and will be back, thank you!

Not my usual Chinese restaurant/takeaway but was suitably impressed, food very good, waiting time excellent, would have given 5*but the card reader was extremely slow and took 3 attempts for me to make payment

Dreadful, blatant food which has been frozen and not even defrosted properly. Disgusting. Salt and pepper prawns? Do me a favour, all stuck together. Never ever again

Delivery was within the stated hour but oh my the food is of very poor standard.   Will never order from here again.  Over cooked, dry, lacking flavour, too much salt.  Prawn crackers was the only really edible thing.  Threw away over half the food.

Very poor quality food. They said 45minutes for delivery but arrived after 15minutes from time of order. Explained it all when we ate our food. Raw chips. Half of the prawns in the sweet & sour weren’t even covered in sauce so I presume they have a pot of prawns they plonk into the sauce at the end. No flavour in any of our dishes and certainly not the cheapest takeaway in Newbury. Would not recommend or return to this place. AVOID.
