Went to this place right down the block from the Hairy Lemon after being denied service from a ignorant bouncer, I can’t even put into words how amazing of an experience/time we had at this place. The atmosphere is absolutely astonishing, the guest including the staff are what made this a great place to be, we went right up to the second floor ; a very cozy and at home feel. There were literally people singing songs together and dancing and having and overall amazing time together, even to absolute strangers. This establishment in particular is what made our entire St. Patrick’s day. Please don’t skip a beat to go here and enjoy every minute of it as we did. I rarely write reviews but this place deserves it. They clearly treat their clientele very well, because they had the best crowd in there. Thank you for everything and thank you again for making this trip memorable for us, something I will forever cherish. I’ll add a photo here of me thanking one of the locals for making the experience so wholesome with their beautiful singing and hospitality.
Like a slice of old-school Dublin pub life in the modern day. Quiet, plenty of seating, great for just hanging out for a chat. My one quibble is the lack of craft beers by comparison to must pubs nowadays.Service: 4/5
Great old pub. Downstairs for pints at the bar, upstairs for meet ups with friends. Proper 'boozer' although was turned away recently by a newish 'young' barman compared to who I'd been served by over the years who was incredibly rude to my adult son his first & last time in there. Took a total dislike to him & wouldn't serve him. Maybe 10 other people in on a quiet weeknight evening. No hassle, thought he was joking at first. Nope. Very serious. We went elsewhere, lots of other great pubs in the area. If your face don't fit I guess? Shame.
Now this place is like not many left in Dublin. Savage altogether, pints are lovely and the staff are sound as you can find. Shame there's not more left like it. Not too busy of a Saturday night but I wouldn't be surprised if it did fill up quick some daysService: 5/5

Great pint of Guinness at TLE. Right across the road you'll find this Georgian pub. Mixed crowd and does be busy. Solid pint and friendly staff. A staple in the Irish pub culture and highly recommended.Service: 3/5
The Guinness was great and the barmen were very gracious in granting our last minute pints after a gig at Vicar St up the road.Service: 5/5
Small, lovely pub next to the Jury Inn hotel and right in front of the Christ Church Cathedral. Not touristic at all, absolutely Irish, plenty of choice for beer and whiskey, friendly bartenders, no music, so you can think and talk and enjoy your time. Traditional and as original as it gets. Here's for this place to keep its spirit. Wonderful experience, will definitely come back the next time.
This is a classic Irish local pub yet in the most touristy of areas. Once inside you instantly feel like you are away from tourist mania. Super friendly people and staff here, great brews and great service. This was our everyday go to pub, loved it and miss it!!
I visited here yesterday and it hasn't changed over the years. Please do a make-over and bring the toilets into this century.....disgusting is all I can say as it is so dated. It didn't encourage me to stay longer.Service: 4/5
