A beautiful traditional pub which is now community run. Stopped off here during an afternoon of canoeing for drinks. They serve a good selection of beverages and also have a decent menu of food too, all at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Plenty of tables and benches outside, whether permitting, to sit and admire the picturesque setting. Very well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Very nice and cosy out the way country pub well worth a visit great food. Next to the river waveney. So can visit by boat if you have one or on holiday on the broads. Great staff.
With this place it's location location location . In short it's a great location . A beautiful setting with the river and walks in the surrounding area . Maybe the food could be described as well done , if a little old fashioned . On a summers day definitely the best place to be out in the fresh air .
Moored up at the bottom of the pub garden. The water was lovely and clear. The pub is a beautiful, old fashioned country pub, with a different atmosphere in different rooms. They've got a nice selection of drinks, and did a lovely vegan burger, with the best fries I have ever eaten. The staff were amazing too! We then had a game of darts, as the billiard table looked a bit complicated after a few drinks. I can't recommend this pub enough, especially if you're cruising around on the broads and fancy a quiet, peaceful evening.
Had a couple of a few lovely proper beers here when staying nearby. Followed by a really nice dinner at a sensible price. Staff all very pleasant. Dog friendly. Highly recommended and will be back again. Best tub of ice cream I think I've ever had too!
Family tradition shared with me by a local farmer who grew up here and was a regular with his father when he was a boy herding the cows on the marsh lands. We had a pint on a sunny afternoon and met with another local wearing his favorite military jacket. Their stories of days they had spent here with friends were truly unique. Being allowed to listen to their stories is something I will remember and hope to try again on my next visit. If you want to visit an authentic country inn situated at the end of a country dirt tree lined lane on the canal, you will not be disappointed with a stop here.
Great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Had a walk around the area and stopped off at the pub to warm up. The Turkey dinner was delicious and a seat by the fire was appreciated.
Nice community run pub. Stopped off here after a 8mile walk and appreciated the log fire and a decent pint. Although we didn't order any food this time from the food we saw coming out of the kitchens we would not have been disappointed.
Excellent, old school pub. The food was good and surprisingly cheap. Staff friendly and the views were great. The access road is rough but is due to be fixed soon.
Lovely pubs, near the river. Good selection on local ales, brilliant in the summer as it has lots of tables outside.
