Britains largest cathedral in all of its glory. What a majestic masterpiece of architecture it is. Built in a Gothic style between 1904 and 1978. It’s 101 metres high. Free to enter donations accepted and absolutely worth a visit. Just as breathtaking inside as the outer architecture. Overwhelming amounts to take in, such as incredible stained glass, wall & ceiling carvings and multiple different halls to walk around.
This is Britain’s largest cathedral.nIt is an imposing red brick structure which is fairly modern in the world of cathedrals. There are chapels to be found inside the church demonstrating how large the church is.nThere’s access to many parts of the church which is great. The interior is highly maintained, boasting high ceilings and stained glass windows.nIt is fairly modern compared with several places but still worth a visit.nFor a fee, you can also climb to the top where you can enjoy aerial views of the city and beyond. The main church itself is free to the public.nThere is paid parking on site. It is a similar fee to other car parks nearby so you can even leave your vehicle here and walk downtown which is about 15 to 20 minutes walk.nThere is a cafe/bistro within the church.nThe church is approximately 30 minutes walk to Albert Docks and 7 minutes to Chinatown.
The cathedral is a must see for anyone visiting the city. It's obvious but the size of it is just awe inspiring when you see it in person. There's loads to learn inside and take in as you walk around, with such a peaceful and serene atmosphere. We loved being able to just sit at various points and try and take it all in.
It was a spectacular entrance leading up to the cathedral. But the inside will blow you away. With the large stained glass windows. There is a small activity for children as you enter on your right. And there is also provided craft stations. A cafe and a gift shop also make up the room. You also have the option to go up to the top. Tickets cost around £7 for adults and £5 for children. The views are incredible, being able to see across the whole of Liverpool. You don't have to pay to get in but there is an optional donation which goes towards the cathedral. It is a must vist.
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Liverpool cathedral which is the tallest cathedral in the UK! The real highlight of my visit was the ability to climb to the top of the cathedral. There was a small fee to pay but it was 100% worth the money. When I reached to top I was greeted with breathtaking views of the city. As it was a clear day I could see for miles. The panoramic views of liver were amazing to see. The experience was amazing and can see why the cathedral is a popular tourist attractions and a must see for anyone in the city. I would highly recommend so you can see the beauty and wonder of Liverpool at the highest point.
