Having recently moved in to the area I needed to move GP's which i did with trepidation as I have been luck to have had an excellent surgery at my last home. The moving over process was very straight forward, from submitting the form to having full access to the electronic systems took less than 24 hours. My regular tests all moved over smoothly as well. What I like about this practice is the proactive communication you recieve for example this week they are short staffed but sent a proactive text warning people We all appreciate the pressures the whole health system is under, and good communication like this alleviates some of the stress.
I have been feeling really ill, and the surgery organised a Paramedic telephone appointment. After a slight muddle with where the prescription was to be sent, the lovely lady at the surgery sorted it all out for me! Such a relief! I am SO grateful!
With all the negativity around at the moment in the NHS we are so very lucky to have such a great doctors surgery. The reception team are so very helpful and we have never had a problem trying to either see a doctor or have a phone call from one and nothing is too much trouble when you need extra tests etc. You never feel rushed, all the doctors we have seen you may have to see one who is not your usual one are very friendly and put you at ease, also being very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you all so much, you are very much appreciated.
What's the point of having a Doctor here if you cant even get an appointment. Every time I phone regardless of day, even if I call 2 minutes before they open my doctor is either never in or already booked up somehow?! The receptionists don't do anything to help you, they won't give you even a phone call with someone else. I moved here from my old doctors who were brilliant and I'm absolutely gutted that this is the service I get here. Not to mention my doctor randomly decided to take me off my anti depressants without consulting me because he found out I was breastfeeding. Even though I have been prescribed these throughout my pregnancy and breastfeeding because the benefit outweighed the risk. Terrible surgery, find somewhere else, you won't regret it.
I had an operation Monday at eastbourne sent home with no pain relief as the one prescribed by them I was allergic to so contacted the doctors as the pain was unbearable and Dr workman gave me adequate pain relief I then had more issues cut a long story short had a breakdown in the reception and the lovely receptionist spoke with me in a quiet room and I also saw the doctor the same day after yet again being let down by the hospital, you should all be very proud of your amazing team especially during these very hard times your all amazing
I have seen Dr Rebecca Akroyd now on several occasions and find her very professional, very knowledgeable and very helpful which always puts my mind at rest. my sincere thanks for your attention and help. Michael Agombar.
I am deeply grateful and indebted to the medical team for their unfailing kindness and skill. I just wish people would realise just how lucky we are to have such devotion and care.
We just had out of hours service from Little Common Surgery and it was enchanting. I have had trouble in the past, but something seems to be different over there. Exceptional service and a very kind out of hours doctor.
Have had to make several formal complaints against members of staff and locum doctor. Terrible attitude. I was advised by my oncologist consultant to request my second Covid vaccine a little earlier that eight weeks as I have terminal cancer. I phoned the surgery at 2pm and was told that they would connect me to the Covid team. When I made the request, the unknown person on the phone told me there was no way that I could be fitted in before the eight weeks. When I told her it was on the advice of my oncologist, she nastily said. 'You will have to wait like all our other chemo patients' She made me feel like I was behaving as though I was special. I kept my temper. I asked to be called if they had a cancellation or some left over. I went to bed and cried. At 5pm I was called and told to get to Sidley in half an hour if I wanted it. I got up, dressed and went. Why was it necessary for the woman to be so unkind?
Having recently moved to the area, and being my mother's carer who has many health conditions, I was a little nervous about changing doctor's etc. This surgery are absolutely fantastic. All dealings I have had with doctors and reception staff have been outstanding.
