Only stayed the one night. Fiona was extremely accommodating as we were a 19 strong wedding party. Rooms were great, food was great, location was amazing. Will definitely be making a return visit in the future. Would like to thank Fiona and her two boys for making our stay perfect . 5 Stars
Great breakfast, clean rooms & bedding, lovely friendly host. She opened the bar for us when we arrived at 10pm Friday so we could have a drink & when we had to leave early in the morning so would miss breakfast she made us sandwiches for the car journey. Great service, would recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Staff are superb, rooms are large and beds are comfy. Beach is within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. The service is second to none. Breakfast isn't usually served until 7 and I had to leave at 6. The host went out of her way and ensured my breakfast was ready to take away! 10/10 all aroundRooms: 5/5
Stayed here after a wedding, room was tidy basic amenities, tea, coffee, biscuits kettle, TV in room and a fan with the hot weather, bathroom was nice, only thing is if your tall the shower over bath can be a little challenging. Lovely breakfast in morning and lovely family who runs it. Nothings too much trouble.Rooms: 4/5
What a lovely stay we have just had, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Rooms clean and an amazing breakfast. Took our baby dog and he even had a sausage cooked for him with treats as soon as we arrived. So often hotels say dog friendly but not aloud he there and anywhere, but o my goodness he was more welcome than us lol. Cannot wait to go back.
The host made this an excellent stay. Very helpful and friendly and when I left my suit in the wardrobe after a wedding she posted it up to me! The rooms were very clean and tidy. Great shower. Great breakfast in the morning. We visited the area for a wedding ns had an excellent stay
A beautiful place to stay. The views are amazing, comfy beds and the breakfast was fantastic. I can't thank Fiona enough for all her help and for going the extra mile to ensure my dietary needs were catered forRooms: 5/5
A first class hotel in a quiet corner of Cornwall. The facilities were excellent and the hosts really went out of their way to make us welcome, even though the stay was for just one night. I really appreciate the lift to the station Fiona, and I got to my mother in time to see and talk to her before she died. I would love to go back to this special place again.
Do not believe the reviews on here, there is NO CHANCE this is a 4* hotel let alone 4* review. In short... No bar/Inn, No wifi in the room, Old stained carpets, in the room, shower didn't work, playground was probably installed in 1990 and was too old and overgrown for kids to play safely. Neighboring villages are ugly by Devon & Cornwall standards with no village shop or cafe etc, there is one half decent food pub called the Finnygook nearby but that's it. We booked for 2nts, and left after 1. £200 a nt. charged for the second night despite all the issues we had. Driving up the placed looked in need of some TLC and hadn't been cared for in years. On arrival our greeting was pleasant but straight out awkward, like something out of a Little Britain sketch. The room in the barn had old stained carpets, a funky smell, toothpaste spatters up the walls around the bathroom sink etc. We'd been traveling the SW UK in a campervan for 10 days prior to our arrival so we were looking forward to a shower and drink in the "Inn". The electric shower kept tripping the circuit breaker, mid-shampoo for my wife and daughter when the water just stopped and we had to walk over to the owners house to get the trip switch reset. Wifi was advertised but there is no wifi in the room and no reception so I couldn't join a couple work calls I needed to without driving to the neighboring village. The 'Inn' bar isn't open, no bar or locals or atmosphere, I think they'll turn the lights on if you are a guest dining with them. The kids playground was old and pretty sketchy safety wise. Overall the worst place we stayed in our two months of travels this summer across the UK and Europe.
Wonderful stay, fiona is an amazing ladies. She is so friendly she might of been busy but always has time to stop and chat and give extra biscuits to our boy thomas. Breakfast was amazing lovely spread of food to pick from or a cooked breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay.Rooms: 5/5
