I've been coming here for years. I love whiskey and have had some excellent ones from here after some careful guidance when buying. A great shopping experience and worth a trip down.
I called in here yesterday 24 Dec 20 and was shocked. Besides a fading handwritten notice in the window asking customers to socially distance, there appears to be no anti-Covid measures being taken. I appreciate it is a narrow shop which is why I waited outside whilst those already in there were being served. A man with no face covering of any form went to enter the shop and I pointed out it was busy in there. His reply was, "That's OK, I work here." After the other customers eventually left, I entered the shop to find he and the woman behind the counter were not wearing any masks nor was there any form of screen between the counter and the customers. Whilst I have enjoyed shopping here in the past, this blatant disregard for the safety of themselves and their customers means I will not use the shop again until the Covid problem is eventually sorted.
Liquid treasure is my favourite kind of off licence: unusual and special beverages. I want to be surprised by what I find and this place does not disappoint.
Great wines and spirits, new and old world, champagnes and a fab selection of real and craft local ales and lagers. Belgian and continental beers in abundance.
Fab place, owner is helpful and very knowledgeable about the alcohol and other items they sell.
Excellent specialist alcohol shop, opens in the evening several days a week so people can purchase after work
Fantastic selection of beer, wines, spirits and everything else in between.
A very friendly and helpful off license, looking forward to it reopening!
