Excellent little place with friendly helpful efficient staff. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant,  but the bar was nice and the breakfast good quality and well cooked. Rooms were clean and well looked after and the shower hot and powerful. Quiet at night with some nice walks in the area. Will be staying again.

Had a great visit to the bar for the 6 Nations rugby with an equally pleasant stay in the hotel. Good beer, clean and comfortable rooms, and a hearty breakfast to boot. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again.

The new Gurkha restaurant in the Lion and Fiddle is simply fantastic. Me and the family.went one Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed the service and exceptionally high standard of food. Whilst the menu appears to have many of the items from a traditional Indian restaurant the food definitely has a difference which sets it apart from the competition.
