Roast beef dinner. Beef was tasty but was like shoe leather plenty of vegetables that were well cooked. Complained about the shoe leather beef they seem to shrug it off like it's a regular complaint
Food usually good here. Can't help feeling that some staff just want to rush you out of there. Not a very comfortable on some visits. Other staff are very nice, friendly and helpfulFood: 5/5
May be short of staff, we waited for a while before seated. Table was sticky and dirty. Food is ok,reminded me of Brewers Fayre. The chicken wings starter look so pathetic though. Bathroom toilet have 5 cubicles but only one is working, not nice.
Same dated decor with stupid ornaments on random shelves. Table surface so tacky the bill stuck to it! So much sanitizer on unsuitable table surfaces. Lots of standard lamps all with crooked lamp shades still after the long time since my past visit. Two main courses for £8.99 mainly composed of reheated frozen food as usual with a few dishes cooked fresh. £15 for a bottle of wine and £4.50 for a pint. The waiter James is a character and very hospitable but the food was terrible to acceptable! I ordered “fish” and chips it was over cooked batter with NO fish! The tarter sauce was Not tarter sauce I’ve been eating it for decades and it was disgusting. I sent it back and ordered another lasagne. It was tasty but really needed at least another layer or two of pasta! It was so warm microwave? it could not be eaten immediately! Note the half lemon with the fish and chips! Who puts half a large sized lemon on a plate? Note empty dishes at end of table. It took too long to remove so they lost out on a desert and coffee order! I will give them a second chance only because of James and hopefully everything improves.
Breakfast was good....staff friendly and professional. Dinner was the set menu, large selection and well prepared. Had everything on the menu. Special recognition must go to Emma, always a smile, professional and efficient.

Me and my wife used to go all the time but the food and service got very bad,not the staff's vault. So we stayed away for a couple of years. We recently went back at Christmas 2022 and we're happy we did. During the week they do 2 main meals for under £10 yes under £10 and they are really good size meals. And very tasty. We have been back a good few times in the last few months. At this price and service it's well worth it . TOP VALUE.
Went here tonight for Valentine's Day Had the Valentine Day offer £17.99 for 3 courses. Absolutely beautiful starter, main and dessert!! Staff were very attentive and helpful, first class service!!! Lovely tranquil atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon Thank You for a lovely relaxing evening Also great extensive carpark!! 5* all round Parking: Easy parking in extensive carpark
Arrived for our 7pm booking - we were told there had been an incident in the kitchen and it had closed. We ordered three drinks while we tried to figure out what to do - got two drinks. The third, a soft drink, wasn't available because the soft drinks machine was out of order. So, a restaurant with no food available and a bar with no soft drinks.
Nothing much has changed from last visit, cigarette ends all around entrance litter bin overflowing, entrance doors filthy, seats ripped, tables sticky. The best things were the helpful staff and the spotless toilets otherwise this must be the worst Premier Hotel in the chain. It needs a visit from head office..Food: 4/5
