My passengers side suspension broke having driven back to Nottingham from Newcastle and I was keen to get it fixed locally. A friend recommended this garage so I phoned on the Tuesday to relay what had happened and to see what they could do. The lady on the phone was pleasant and booked me in for 3:30pm on the Wednesday to take a look at it and hopefully fix it. When I arrived the man on the counter seemed disinterested and told me they were too busy to look at my car before Friday. I said if that was the case it would've been helpful to have been told that on the phone when I initially rang so as to make other arrangements. Suddenly they were free to fix it first thing Thursday morning. By this point I didn't want to get the work done here because of the manner of the bloke dealing with me but was even less keen driving it as it was, therefore I reluctantly left my car there and set off home on foot. Sure enough I get a phone call at work just after 9am the following morning from the same lady I spoke to the first time around, to say my car is ready (so what was that Friday comment about?), and I begin to think perhaps I was quick to judge. However, within a few minutes of arriving there to collect my car I'd decided I wasn't going to use them again. I was met (eventually) by the same disinterested man as before who has no front of house skills in his armoury. Both times I just got the impression I was a burden, no information was given about work conducted, I was just asked to pay (whilst he checked his text messages) then had my keys practically thrown in my direction. I understand people can have demanding work loads and stress levels can rise throughout the working day but customer service is so important in this day in age. This particular guy let his employer down badly in my case as the work done was very good but I won't be going back again even though it's closer than the garage I'd normally go to as his entire demeanor was backwards. Such a shame.

Confidence restored. Thanks to Martin and his crew for getting my VW T5 MOT'd and rear discs fitted. All done super quickly, bang on time and at a very competitive price. Updates and phone calls along the way much appreciated. No hesitation in recommending this garage for first rate work, thank you very much.
