The Bangalore Pal and Ceylon are certainly hot, and they are incredibly delicious. I personally prefer the Ceylon flavours, but both dishes were excellent. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, thank you for a great dining experience.Food: 5/5
If anybody’s looking to try out a one of a kind drink, then this might be it. This pineapple-mango juice is a treat both for the eyes and the tastebud and it didn’t disappoint! Absolutely amazing!!Food: 5/5

This is my favorite restaurant in Ottawa. The food is amazing the staff are friendly and the service is impeccable. The fact it is family owned and has a nice authentic decor is a lovely bonus. Vegetarian options: There is an entire page of the menu with vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: I've been going here since I was a kid.
First time at this restaurant, Saturday night, it was only few tables were occupied. We wanted to taste more than two dishes so I asked the server/ I think it was the manager/ownerhe explain the menus and recommend the group dish for two or more people. There was onion bhaji that I find a bit dry a not so much onion flavours in it, I have drizzled it with a lot sauce. Meat samosa, again it was a bit blunt and needed more seasoning. Mushroom in sweet tomato sauce, it was good. Beef dish was good, nice and tender and full of flavour. Shrimp dish was good too. Dishes were accompanied with rice and naan bread. And the home made lemonade was good too, but it was a bit pricey. I will go back and try more of their dishes. The server were chatty and made us very welcome.
The food is amazing and is only made better by the incredible staff. From the moment you walk in you can't help but appreciate the funny, kind and inviting people that work there. And the food!!! Some of the best Indian food I've had and there is loads of selection! I can't recommend this place enough, you won't be disappointed. Vegetarian options: Loads of options. Kid-friendliness: My kids both under 10 y/o love it. The waiter makes them custom drinks made from different fruit juices, and there are plenty of non-spicy dishes for them. They love the Chana Masala, and chicken tandoori.
Delicious food at a great price. Lovely atmosphere. Good packaging when you order takeout, and they always include a little treat beyond what you order. Their lunch buffet is fantastic too. This may be my favourite restaurant in the Glebe, and it's definitely a top pick for Ottawa as a whole.Food: 5/5
The owner is a very kind man and works hard. 42 years at the same location. I had the vindaloo which was very spicy for me but nice with the raita. Paneer was rich and tasty. Atmosphere inside is very welcoming. Excellent value and flavour for the portions/price. Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and am very sensitive to gluten and cross contamination. I did not have a reaction :
My wife and I were visiting Ottawa from London, Ontario , and we went in for the lunch buffet on Monday June 10 . It was quiet for a Monday but the buffet spread was amazing. They had all the classics plus more. My wife had a mango lassi which I tasted and it was great and she loved it. The owner was very friendly treated us like family. You don’t get old-school Indian restaurants like this anymore where they even offer buffets in this day and age but this place is still keeping that tradition going. For $20/ person you get a lot of bang for you buck , you can’t go wrong. The meal that we had for lunch, kept us full all day that we had to skip dinner and we were ok with that because it was worth it lol. My only regret was not coming for dinner before we left Ottawa and trying their A La carte menu, they seemed to have a solid menu. Next time we’re visiting we’ll for sure come for dinner and try it out. Highly recommend for anyone that loves buffets and wants good Indian food.
