Lidl Aldershot offers some great deals on groceries. However, sometime there are long checkout lines and limited product selection compared to larger supermarkets. Overall, it's a good option for budget-conscious shoppers who are flexible with brands.
Bakery brilliant. Food selection average. Food quality average. Cost far lower than other leading supermarkets. England football merch... average. Will I return.. yes especially for the donuts..
1. The queues for the self-service tills are often too long. This is extremely frustrating. It is often the case that they do not work properly, meaning that one constantly needs to ask for assistance.nn2. Whenever a person serves me at an actual till, they are extremely kind and friendly.nn3. The prices are extremely reasonable.nn4. It is mostly the self-service tills that are problematic. One member of staff often has to assist numerous people who are having issues with the till, which must be frustrating for that particular member of staff.nn***The member of staff, Carol, is amazing - a lovely, kind, friendly and exceptionally helpful woman.***
Went shopping here today as needed to go into town to post a letter old school. Was really surprised that I was able to buy food for a decent Sunday lunch for less than £20. Great value and decent quality. This made up for the bloke who walked round purposefully bringing up phlegm as he shopped. I thought to myself, you don't get this in Waitrose. But then this Lidl is situated along 'Smokers Alley' as my wife likes to call it. Anyway, cheers Lidl. That fifth star is only missing because of Mr Phlegm.
Some items are cheap, some items are not. Beware of the self service checkout tills, as they have the tendency to charge for items that you haven’t bought. As today, it charged me for six items that I didn’t buy. I didn’t notice till I got home. I was overcharged by £1.80 for six flexi loop carrier bags, so it’s not worth the hassle to go back into town to complain. I didn’t even want to buy one carrier bag, as I always bring my own.nSo check your receipt before you leave the shop. Or shop elsewhere if you don’t want to be ripped off. As I will in future.
